Hi
I am really looking forward to playing my blue wizard soon - inc probably for the Haloween special. I've not played him for a while and wanted to engage the creative character development juices... Hence this post! So LN blue wiz, 2 levels so far of Mancer, and an early 2nd colour gold (non-standard). Very much into meditation and therefore my most likely character to 'go hippy'. Background includes 2nd son of a gem merchant (which he was rubbish at) time in the east to 'connect' in a karmic way. I am interested to probe what peeps think I could do post 6 Mancer? If I go to 8th could I get N spirits? Or spirit only casting of spells? Or does that way lie heresy and I should arch-Mage and build my mana pool? It is a long time since I played a non-combat oriented character... So steer welcomed. And I guess development should focus on (a) having interesting spells for interesting situations, ( 'never' running out of power. Or should I just focus and be the worlds best lightning caster etc? A bit like fishing... But please help!? Alasdair |

The real question is "What do you want to do?"
Then see if there are ways to make it a possibility. BBB -------------------- Grey's Law: Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice...

The real question is "What do you want to do?" I think that's the point. It is a while since I played the character, and I am very rusty at non-combat characters... So fishing for suggestions. Chains of.. Specialisation would be dull. I like Dancing Sword.. But that isn't a character definition based route. Shift-based 'transportational' powers might be interesting: eg I shift your arm/leg. But sounds prohibitively expensive. Etc So wondering on others experience of what may work or steer as to what won't! |

As an aside our new GSM has a reasonable points Blue Wizard who specialised in casting Lightningbolt. so he has a decent grasp of Blue wizards. Coincidentally my latest character likely to be played up is a blue wizard. I'm just waiting for a set of pts apps back to see if my base concept is worth moving forward with before submitting the pile of blue Mana apps I have written. If you want to go with the Transportation specialisation go for it. A transportational multiclass is worth a try.
