Am back and feeling knackered from a brilliant weekend and wanted to get the thanks in before i fall asleep. Huw and Grant ran a huge and complex event with awesome props, cool set pieces, varied NPC's and a whole load of plot that I couldn't keep up with! (admitedly I wasn't trying that hard...)
Thanks also to how monster team of Rebecca, Isteed, BBB, Bret, Charlie, Andy M, Tim T and Danny. Had a lot of cool fights, and challenged our experienced and tough party! Hopefully they enjoyed themselves too! A few highlights to get the ball rolling: The skin seal puzzle prop, and piecing it all together to summon the rod on it. The cool concept of moving through the maze in the house, even if we were a bit sleepy towards the end, although late night profiteroles provided a good pick me up! Advising the other Rasha they could use their fey power to look in to the box, then giggling as they went mad from doing so Me and Witts getting voided before stepping through the portal to help the party who were getting smashed to pieces down the hill - Torsland Flashback! Being invited to stay/visit from pretty much everyone thanks to the endless feast The invention of the Amlasian Chair Game, and slowly getting more of the party in on it Creme Egg Smackdown Dentist chair cocktails for a lot of the party, and the odd game of Power Tash Final thanks go to the party for being great fun to spend the weekend with. Cheers also for all helping with the cleaning and tidying both before and after the event. -------------------- Rich

Enjoyed the day, happy to monster although it's so far away... (I'm joking, walked home in 5 minutes).
Overall great role-playing from the players and the other monsters, made the whole day a pleasure & the adrenaline kept the pain away before dinner & ibuprofen at home More than happy to monster the group again, I was more point & attack myself as I never progressed that high in this system, preferring the lower levels, but it's good to see that it can be just as fun at higher levels. Plot was good, Charlie - great printing/binding - & props. Isteed did a section of the writing, I'm now all undeaded out ! Lol Kudos to Hugh, Grant, Isteed for his stepping up, and the monsters that kept me on track. Anyway, that went on longer than I meant it to ! Thank all, great fun! Would have done |

Just home through the door after a somewhat gruelling drive after a lot of event and a lack of sleep leading up to it.
I too want to echo the thanks above to everyone involved before I fully hit the post event crash. The event was excellent throughout, huge amount of plot, complexity, interesting people, places, stories and objects and props too. So much to think about and a fearful amount of tasks seemingly stretching out before us. Without doubt a hugely enjoyable event made by all involved, great party, great crew and great refs. Many moments of fun, fear, comedy as well as haunting, moving and emotive experiences. Interacting with Rebecca as the place spirits of the two places from the very beginning to the very end was amazing and the way we resolved things following twin 2's exploits was satisfying but a journey I found harrowing and haunting when we went to her birth place as a quartet. BBB's narrative as the manifest corruption was equally fantastic and he contributed to some very cool moments from Mr Trout and Mr No Trout and the reaction of my new technique of "sliding into first wraith". Lots more to mention but sleep is calling. Again thanks to all and really looking forward to playing alongside the party again when the opportunity arises. -------------------- Gordon Court

I thoroughly enjoyed monstering for you all. A very experienced party and some great fights.
Nice interaction by the party with the "Locals" which meant that I was interested in the party and cared about what they were doing. (I'll have to satrt Fletch off as a character sometime.) Superbly written by Huw with section notes and stats for the monsters. Kudos to Fromum for his continuous production of food throughout the event. Awesome. "Salmon.... no.... I mean Trout!" Tim. |

Thanks to all involved for a great event.
Particular thanks to the refs for the huge amount if effort they put into preparing the event, and to Mother, just for being himself. C |

Huge thanks to Huw, Grant, Rebecca, Tim, Brett, Charlie, Danny, BBB, Andy and Isteed for an awesome event. The 2 day format and the nearness of the site make it ideal for the Middle Aged Mercenary.
So much was squeezed into the 2 days that I’m sure we did a Myths-worth of plot and encounters. The usual epic levels of Huw-plot brought Lerastine’s Folly to life, with some nice cross-references to stuff from other events – sure I caught a couple of Highlands / Torsland references in the prison manifest! Loads of NPCs to care about, brilliantly brought to life by the monster crew, and amazing props. Some horror fights with the tireless horde, and a few pvp “accidents”. Party were likewise great, without exception chilled and really fun to hang out with. Apart from Carlo who is a flakey loser for abandoning us on Sunday Highlights in no particular order – Rebecca as the place spirit, notably different as each “aspect”, and especially impressive as the singing fey in the grove. BBB as Mr Trout / No-Trout – “brown speckled!” The seal of skin prop and the whole elaborate way of finding the seals – the prison manifest library code, locked boxes, number codes and keywords and playing cards, the notes and spyglass. Amlasian chairs and crème-egg smackdown, coming soon to a tavern near you. The maze section, with the inhabitants of the prison, which was especially brilliant. Although after Sam (surely deliberately) left the unholy sword of chains under the table I may need to ask Huw to ref a follow-up, a fairly terrifying prospect. Late night emo conversations with Nym. Rich’s hot snacks, and particularly the late-night profiterole tower as we were dragging ourselves through hour 4 of the maze section at half midnight. The horror fey section and burning 50 spirits in 5 minutes chasing Quintus “the Lemming” around. Ryan’s birthday cake – although we should have gone with the death knight plan. The Rasha. At least two of whom should not be allowed out without a minder. The realisation that their minder was holding an axe to hit his charges with, not defend them. Stotesbury pulling his tabard off after dying to reveal the legend “I’m Dead, Just Here to Drink”. Trying to make the Rasha save their own legendary artefact in the face of their desire to eat snacks and drink. All brilliant. The final ritual with the skin seal assembled and resolving everything. Many more high points but those will have to do for now. Massive thanks to all involved, it was a fantastic weekend. C |

Thank you to Huw and his ref team for the enormous amounts of work required for such a detailed event.
Thank you to Fromum for organising and so much food! Thank you to the monsters for great roleplay and fighting in a cool way - reacting to blows, big swings and very little e-class kamikaze parts - this was a huge deal for my enjoyment given the character I was playing. What a weekend - probably one of the most constant unrelenting 2 days of time in I've ever had with plot rich and involving, plenty of fights and danger as well as a really keen attitude from the Crew / The Players to get sections done at all times.
Massive thanks to Huw and Grant for the clearly huge amount of effort put in to this one and Isteed for running a couple of sections Sunday - of course to our tireless crew of Rebecca, BBB, Bret, Charlie, Andy M, Tim T and Danny (Isteed belongs in here too) for being a joy to Roleplay with, a pleasure to fight and always in good spirits. The Party also great, we had a solid balance and had a lot of fun together. Ryan |

Just want to add my thanks to all involved.
Refs and crew where amazing and the party were very fun throughout (even Carlo's hissy fit after I smashed a place spirt into tiny pieces all over the woods and went insane after looking into a box after listening to fromum) The 2Day format is brilliant and i'm really looking forward to the rest this year. This monster would like to add his thanks to a chilled party who were a pleasure to monster for, fun to roleplay with and safe with their blows and for Huw and Grants awesome dungeon and for my fellow monsters (Both Team Old and Team Young).
This format has definitely topped my favourite event format. Immediate comedy moments that spring to mind: Use of the hideously cursed hammer resulted in destruction and death: "Right, lets stop using the hammer..." The Genie being freed... At a cost... "What do you mean what's my favourite fish, that's a strange question..." ~ Supershock, supershock... Head shake moment: "They're going to let Quintus die again..." BBB -------------------- Grey's Law: Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice...
PS, Yes, I know my PM Box is full. Email me instead... (Which you can do through the forums email) |

Ditto to all of the above!
Thanks to Huw and Grant for the dungeon which was incredibly thorough, well written and fun to monster. Thanks to the other more experienced monsters for their help throughout. Thanks to Rich for all the organisation and constant supply of food and drink! Finally thanks to the party for being incredibly good fun to interact with and monster for but also for being so patient; I was a little nervous about monstering a 3k having only recently started playing the system again after a 6 year break but you guys were all really helpful! Looking forward to more 2-Days in the months to come. Cheers Charlie (Favourite moments: Grant as the Minotaur - "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!" *Silent Party* "I'VE HEARD ENOUGH" *smashes into front line* 'Cardio Orc' Chieftain vs Julian, Ryan et al Gordon, Benson and Ryan's epic Undead bashing including power slides. "I'm dead, I'm just here to drink!" Barons of Boring-ness trying to tame the Rasha generally. |

Hello peeps!
Just wanted to add my thanks, had a wonderful time and really enjoyed myself! It was epic, well thought out, brilliantly propped and a very inspiring event, thanks to Fromum for all the food. Thanks to the crew you were all cool to fight, thanks to Huw & Grant for the cool plot/sections, lots of cool moments, My favourites being the fight out of the ring into the shadow creatures with "Squintess" & the cleansing of the 12 objects, Bradley losing to the plot with Timmy, Marrow's many comedy punts, the "locals" interaction. Had no "coming" myself but still felt people were willing to share which was cool. Thanks, Rob. |
