It is with heavy heart that I inform the mercinary community of the final passing of Ignatius.
He fell in battle to a number of undead creatures on Saturday eve and is currently laying at rest in accordance with his final wishes. He died as he lived, protecting others and working for the good of the land. He will be sorely missed. I can offer him no greater accolade than to simply say he was my friend for many, many years. Rest with your Lady old friend. You have well earned it. Tanis. |

I spoke much with Ignatious in the days before he died. He was a great friend and, though he had some funny ideas, was as true a man of faith as you could hope to meet.
Some say he won't return but will stay with his Patron Goddess Nienna the Compassionate. And truly he does deserve to do that. From a purely selfish point of view I hope that he chooses to return. He was always (well nearly - he did "Exasperated" really well!) been a calm and rational influence in times of stress. His comments were considered and wise. His friendship unwavering. His giving of himself unstinting. Owen Bridgewater. |

Oh Iggy.
You taught us so much, but mainly - you taught the people around you to think - that was your gift to us all. In times of madness and chaos, you kept things level. Even when that madness and chaos was us. You really took the time to understand the views of the people around you, and no one was ever below you. You touched a lot of lives, from the dirty and downtrodden (like me and Esseran) to the more important and noble (like Boosil and Falorn). You were a humble bloke, and I wish you only knew what a difference you made to the world. That time you died years back, I felt it - and I saw a falling star, which the Lady sent for you to carry on. Then, when you were done, we gathered round and we sang. I'd not sang for the dead before, and I had never seen so many tears. Those tears moved you on your way to become a true priest of your godess, Nienna. One thing you taught me, through all the blood, sweat, tears, joy pain and laughter, is that grief turns into fond memories that live on forever. When you died before, we were wrecks, but now through you we can see and remember the great things, and think of you fondly. You wrote a beautiful prayer for Valesius when we saved him. It's in my book, and I read it every now and then. When Esseran died, you had a drink with us. You broke a vow in respect and in the memory of a good friend. When we had to save the Valar, even though we said we would not choose one over the other - behind your back, we chose to save Nienna. For you, because you were that important to us. You didn't believe in the bumgoblins... When you fought Christian, and your body was broken - you were pretty much a skelington. You still kept going. If he ever pops up again (which I'm sure he wont) I'll give him a good kick in the nuts for you. Falorn and Zhara still have those gliterry hand thingies. It's only a shame we never got the tabards with 'Go Iggy Go' (in spirit runes) made in time. I lost count at the amount of times I had to scry to just work out some of the words you used (especially bufoons..). And now, to top it all off, I need a new goalkeeper. The boys will miss you too that's for sure. I resurrected you about three times, and I still can't pronounce or remember your proper name, but to me, to us, you'll always be Iggy. You blew me up by saying the name of a fruit. Did I ever hate you for it? No... it was just too funny. When everyone had lost their arms and legs, I had to pick up a sword and shield. everyone was a mess on the floor but you were still there beside me. Like some kind of one legged hopping sparrow, but you were there. I'm a better man, and it's because of you. Years ago I would kill an evil man with no regards to his wife and children. I was wreckless and thoughtless. Now, I'm just a bit thoughtless - and a bit more wreckful. Now go to your well deserved rest. There's a cup of tea with your name on it (the one we remember and can pronounce) Ignatious was a man of peace, but when needed, prepared to fight we'll miss you all our dearest friend Now rest well, within the light Cos you'll never walk, alone my friend, Memories, never die. In our hearts, you'll always be As to Heaven, you will fly Bradley Guardian of the Stars Captain of Bradley's Booters Prophet of Danger Friend of Iggy (yup, that's an extra lap round that lake in Gothiel naked just for you!) |

A fine example of a man and i am happy to have had the chance to fight beside him against the darkness in what was such a tragic weekend.
I will always remember his saving of Dave's tea with a smile. Lucian Flynn -------------------- Attention randomly typing monkeys.

Too many people that touched our lives lost, rest well Ignatious! One of the most tolerant men I ever met, no matter how stupid we were all being.
Now someone put the kettle on... Dave |

I had the honour to get to know Ignatius a little when he travelled with my Church and more recently with others in Shadowfell where Ignatius was lost to us.
What I will remember most about Ignatius was his ability to live his life holding true to his own principals and opinions even when many around him disagreed with him, and doing so wish such humility and tolerance of others. He seemed to me to be a gentle, kind and honourable soul with a quiet deep resolve and will to do what was needed to do to keep his friends and innocents safe from harm. I will miss him. If it is true that he will rest within the light of his Goddess then I am so happy for him, and know that his influence will live on with many of us. Harrison -------------------- Damn I love muggles

Namarië, Nirnaeth.
Though I weep for you, in my sorrow there is joy - for in Her arms at last you shall walk the halls of Her beloved and know that He wills you peace. Though I may never follow you there, I am certain that you shall find what lies beyond. You have the soul of a Quendi, nilmonya. Nai hiruvalyë Valimar. Nai elyë hiruva!
