This year we are pleased to announce that Pete Long is mastering reffing the Final Dawn Themeday, the plot for which started over a year ago and has been running all year.
This year is a high level event, for those that don’t know the plan, it is that we roughly run on 3 years cycles as follows: Play 1, Monster 1 2 day event – 1 high level, 1 low level Lower level 3 day event, capped at 7.5 or 10k Higher Level 3 day event, with a no-max section This way we hopefully allow everyone to get involved in an event of an appropriate levels that they want to play for 2 years, and ideally monstering the year there isn’t. The basic details for this year are as follows: Final Dawn 2017 Dates: Thursday 28th December to Saturday 30th December Levels & Refs: “Lows” roughly 3-5k – Reffed by James I “Mids” - 7.5k-10k - Reffed by Rob B “Highs” – No Max – Reffed by Rich F Thursday, Chris G Saturday, Friday ref TBC Cost: £60 a day, £160 if you play all 3 days, cash minimum £20 a day Payments due: Final payment is due by Sunday 10th December Player Reward: 165 points per day plus ISP up for grabs. Monster points can be put on for each day. Monster rewards: 18 credits and 80 Monster Points a day, credits can be transferred at 1 to 5 rate. If you monster all 3 days your 80 monster points each day can be signed straight on to a character. You also gain access to the special Themeday monster rewards table detailed in the ISP book, I will add it below as well. Plot: One of the main plots has been running all year and relates to the attempts to replace the city spirits, see the IC forums for more details. All bookings for the event should be sent to Bookings@labyrinthe.co.uk There are 2 ways you can book to play the event, first with a confirmed monster for the same days you are playing, this guarantees you a spot on the event. The second is to be added to the waiting list, when we have enough monsters to open a playing spot you will receive an email confirming your booking. Either way can you also let us know what section you will probably play on If you just want to monster, that would be great as well, just email on the same address above and you will add you to the monster list. As per last year, we want the types of characters people play on this event to make it enjoyable for the most amount of people involved. Therefore it has the following booking restrictions: No characters who are outlawed, wolfshead or similar may be played. Characters should be party constructive and willing to work to the overall aim of the event rather than de-rail things. Any character choices deemed not to meet this may be asked to change prior to or during the event. There will be pages opened on the event diary to show the current state of bookings with regards to player and monster numbers. These should only be booked on to via email to the booking line. We will look to review the numbers and thresholds mid November to provide a further update. All monsters can spend monster points each day on the following items, usual monster item limits apply, see ISP book for more details. + 0 Mantic Weapon (One chosen Colour and one Chosen Alignment) - 500 Points +0 Pure Magic (one chosen colour) weapon - 400 Points +0 Pure Spirit Weapon (one chosen alignment) 500 Points Spiritual Power Store – One Sphere. 30 Points per power point, max 5 Magical Power Store – One Colour. 30 Points per power point, max 5 Earth Power Power store – One Field 30 Points per power point, max 5 +15/5 Life - 200 points + 0 Magic Shield (One Chosen Colour) - 150 Points + 0 Spirit Shield (One Chosen Alignment - 200 Points A Character gains a CP benefit from the “Possessions” list. Following discussions between Lee and myself, and other members of the club, the booking conditions for this event are being relaxed to make them easier to understand and the event slightly more accessible.
The booking restriction about characters above is changed to the following. People should not play a character who will from the outset look to party kill or deliberately de-rail the event. We would like everyone to have a enjoyable event over Christmas and so rule 7 applies. If your in any dought as to whether your character is a suitable choice, questions should be directed to lee, Pete long or myself. Rgds Duncan |
