To Mercenaries and Magistrates, I read to understand Options

Dear all.
Those of the mercenary caste, those who hold authority of law such as the Covenant, the Magistrates and those members of the city watches, I write this missive as I have felt uncertain in how to obey many masters. Invariably we all do. The rule of Law, the rights of nobility, the duties of citizens, the ties of family, the sway of divinities and the strands of numerous powers pulling at us like marionettes.
I myself am a Knight of the Land, I have been granted tenancy by Lord Amorphous so am in some ways his vassal though he would never call upon me in that way. I am a worshipper of The Creator and I follow the teachings of Saint Michael. My heritage and blood mark me as one of the Silverfolk, but my outlook on existence means I have no bounty upon my head. I am glad to call the Empire my home.

I have read letters dating back a decade. I have read court cases from Mordreds Rest. I have seen the Covenant identify Radah as Wolfshead.
By his own word I have read his admission of guilt. By his actions I have seen enough to believe that he has truly changed.

To those who would prosecute the law. On all the occasions we have ventured together, I have not seen Radah of Michael commit a crime or felony. I have not encouraged any such act. Radah endeavours to be a Paragon of the Church. The teaching of Saint Michael helps him greatly. The teachings help me too. I consider Radah to be a friend.

Should Radah commit a crime or felony and I am there, if accused of Abetting a Wolfshead, then I will obviously surrender myself for the court to decide.
I cannot find any reference suggesting my association alone is a felony. I would expect quite a strong declaration, such as the introduction of Mawbdenism, so I hope this is correct in accordance with what is written. Even in Harlot’s list of felonies at Mordred’s Rest which has quite a few not listed elsewhere, it is only the Abetting of a Wolfshead that is felonius.

To my fellow Knights. I remain true to my vow. I remain true to you. If my friendships elsewhere cause you offence, because of a past I have no concept of, I hope the need to protect the land and it’s people still outweighs the theocratic and political conflicts and I will see you all within the Five Halls.

I changed a long long time ago. I didn’t have the choice though.
