Greetings
I am aware that a group of mercenaries are planning to continue actions against the Callers of the Frozen Lords should the opportunity present itself - well you are in luck, it has! The group has on the whole been quite quiet in the last few weeks despite significant monitoring and searching by the Inquisition. However, word has recently reached us that a Bulaslavian patrol that was rounding up Blauz fleeing the Sunless encountered a 'keep of bone' that appeared and faded. It left behind several men in blue tabards who then entered into an older Spiter fortification and cleared out the Blauz within, or killed them. Scrying is not easy, as while the Sunless is gone the place it is still not healed or fully part of Primus. However it is clear the Callers have formed a base here. The sky is dark enough, even at noon, to avoid them worrying the undead. Additionally there is some form of link to Netherworld present which is showing up on entropic threat maps here in Halgar. As such, the Inquisition will be hiring mercenaries to go and strike and strike a blow against this ongoing and significant threat to Primus. For any new blood attending, you should know that this group are a proscribed faith and assisting or aiding them is a felony. The pay is three thousand grulls and standard imperial potions are covered. Interested parties should meet in the first Imperial way station on the southern road out of Thimon during the usual hiring window. An Inquisitional operative will meet you there and provide mystical transportation directly into the Sunless and close to the occupied fort. Finally, following feedback from the last mission we will also be providing the group with an artifact that casts the Rite of the Bright God miracle. It will still require a bless and spiritual empowerment in the usual manner. Good luck. Apathy Lord Inquisitor |

Apathy,
Will you be joining us? Last time we were very short on priests. We will need someone who can cast Control Wight (to allow safe transportation to their sanctum), rite of the bright god and a resurrection (see below). Other points to bear in mind that I forlornly hope others might read in advance are: We collected a relic that will empower a rite of the bright god so that undead cannot transport. It must be completed and placed with the focus and a prayer recited seven times. It cannot be rushed and must be respectful and measured: "Lord of Death I ask you cast your gaze to this place. Allow this sliver of thy sword's power to resonate through the blessed spirits that reside here. May your presence be a draw to the creatures of the Netherworld and bind them to these spirits of light like a chain. Lord of Death watch over this place and let not the corrupted souls flee your judgement." The relic must be left at the centre of the rite of the bright god, so we need to be careful with it as they will doubtless try to kick it over. In addition there are four powerful wights we need to kill once we have got the above in place, each of whom is resummoned 60 seconds of their death. To deal with each of them the other three need to be dead, and then we need to take steps as follows: Arialis (the fire wizard): An undine lord must be placed in his grave while he is dead. Tamarl: Start a full spiritual restore life ritual on his grave. He can then be killed. After the full ritual is completed he will be 'laid to rest'. Branarl: Must be killed in the room his grave is in. Criasus: He must be killed while in his room and immobile. Once we start dealing with the last survivor, bad things will happen locally (probably involving many wights, possibly 'mantic. I hope to see a full group there, Isaac Cordarel, Circle |

Excellent information here Isaac, it is encouranging to see the group will be so well guided.
Unfortunately, I cannot attend personally as my new duties require me to remain in Halgar during the run up to the Dawn. I was aware that the Rite of the Bright God presented an obstacle hence an aretefact of this being provided this Starsday. In terms of the potential gap regarding the casting of a resurrection or controlling a wight, then perhaps those planning to attend could discuss their capabilities here. I foresee a full group in most potential futures so perhaps you will be presently surprised. If not, we can think about any further support needed. A |

A Isaac Do you foresee the rite/wight tackling as a before or after lunch issue? I don't want to promise anything if I will not be present. Yours Tancred -------------------- Brett

Tancred - it will be after lunch that we tackle them but are likely to need the control wight miracle slightly beforehand.

Isaac Ok well I will be called away before we tackle them, but I do know the control wraith prayer and can write a scroll of it to leave with you as well just in case. -------------------- Brett

Do you need my help?
I'm not very good with undead! Unless you can Stormblast them. Then I'm not bad! Quael'lesh -------------------- Grey's Law: Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice...

Lord Inquisitor,
Long story short, Damian and the Callers of the Frozen Lords are dead. Properly dead, tower destroyed and no longer a problem. We did not have time to go after the powerful wights they worship, but everyone was excellent today and thoroughly deserved the hard-earned victory. Can I also say it was personally an honour to fight alongside you all over the last couple of months. My thanks to you all, and I would be happy to stand beside you another day. Excellent news! It appears that at least two significant extra planar threats have been repelled over the past two days.
This was a hard fought, well-planned victory against a group that had the potential to cause significant harm to both primal stability and the good people of Empire and beyond. Whilst the actions against the Callers of the Frozen Lords were taken under the banner of an Inquisitional hires, these missions were very much mercenary led. There are too many to mention here but the Inquisition would particularly like to commend Isaac Cordarel of the Circle and Darren of the Knights of the Land for their wisdom and courage in ensuring that this threat was negated. I killed Damion and cut off his head. I’ll bring it to you personal. It was bloody dangerous so thanks for them potions Asgrimm Excellent news!
