This Sunsday just gone there was a most unusual occurrence in Halgar. At around 18:00 peons started raining down from the skies over Halgar!

The 101st have reported that a small group of mercenaries were seen entering the inner city, stating that they were going in to deal with some Silverfolk who had effectively taken over parts of the Inner City with demons, undead and dominated Peons! The prevailing issue was that no one knew they were using some form of disguise that was very difficult to break through and so they all looked like your average Peon, farmer, worker or trader.

The scant reports suggest there was some kind of living, whale like ship in the sky over Halgar and that the mercenary party had somehow got on board and managed to retrieve the artefact that the Silverfolk were looking for. Rumours are that the artefact had the ability to heal almost any affliction or disease and that it might be used in a ritual to cure the Silverfolk of their inability to procreate. The artefact was rumoured to have been kept in a little Shaehan temple by a small subsect of Shaehan Priests.

Reports indicate that the Silverfolk were in league with demons who were teaching them animation magics and vampires that were teaching them the art of necromancy in some kind of bid to save the Silverfolk race. The sect was called Conceptus Tempus.

Anyway on to the pressing matter of the raining peons. It is rumoured that the mercenaries managed to convince the "whale" that it would be best to eject all the occupants onboard!

The resulting carnage in Halgar was pretty severe and here are just a few of the many tales!

Johnny was out with his sister Lilly on their way back from the tavern when what appeared to be a dead farmer fell from the sky. The impact caused poor Lilly to explode; Johnny stood still for several minutes not really believing what he had seen as a small piece of his sister's brain matter dribbled down his face.

Several Halgar beggars were seen waging bets as the sky continued to rain down bodies. Curtis won the bet when a body came down landing squarely in the fountain at ten to one odds. He made a tidy sum with a pleased grin on his face.

Over at the Cathedral of St Michael several bodies crashed in to the roof; the priests were most pleased when after a few days the bodies turned from Peons to Demons.

There were just so many bodies. It could not help but be noticed by all those that lived in Halgar; they literally rained over the city, many people assumed this end of all things and quickly packed up their things and fled the city.

There was some looting and rioting as bodies crashed through shops, tipped over merchant wagons and more besides. Some of the less fussy people even took to looting the fallen bodies before the authorities came to deal with them.

The 101st and the Halgar Watch both reported similar estimates on the number of bodies and their type as the disguise effect wore off: approximately 40 demons, 60 undead of various descriptions, 200 Silverfolk and around 200 peons that turned out to be local people. It was concluded that the Silverfolk had killed many Peons and disguised themselves so as not to be recognised as they infiltrated society.

It was a dark day in Halgar but also a clear win for the mercenary community as they had succeeded in killing many Silverfolk and preventing them from obtaining a cure.

In other parts of Halgar the mercenaries allegedly responsible were starting to be referred to as the "Inward Eye" possibly all neuronicists?

In other rumours there was talk of a "whale" landing on small island near Amlas.
