Brothers and Sisters
I wanted to share with you the both successful yet unfortunate outcome of a recent quest upon which I represented our glorious order. We were engaged by the shaman of an at least reasonably peaceful group of orks known as the Cracked Axe clan. A disease-like malaise had fallen upon the clan, felt by its shaman at the time but no attempts to cure the disease came to any good result. The witch doctor who had been sent to investigate had not returned and as such, we were asked to go and find him. Just after this malaise had fallen upon the clan, the goblins of the Spider Fang clan who had always been a thorn in the side of the Cracked Axe clan suddenly became more bold. Whilst it is not known whether they were in any way responsible, it certainly was a strange coincidence if it were one. After battling with goblins and undead wolves, we were transported by a druid into another realm where we battled ogres, treants and many more undead. Eventually, we found the source of the disease, an evil priest and his undead minions but unfortunately, his minions overpowered us - I was the only one capable of hurting his minions as I carry a spiritually endowed weapon but the priest took control of my mind before I was able to defend my compatriots and we were almost all either slain or knocked unconscious. Luckily, one of our number survived, killed the priest and managed to call the shaman for reinforcements who arrived in time to rescue us from an untimely fate. Not the glorious outcome that we would have hoped for but at least the evil was quenched. I hope my report is of use. Rudy |

“Luckily...” you say?

Rudy,
Good work. Hopefully the Spider Fang tribe were just opportunists and will settle down and leave the Cracked Axe in peace. Do you mind me asking where about you were when you encountered these? Just so I know when travelling if I need to ask if they're still causing trouble.... Also, do you think this priest was a standalone nut job or part of a bigger cult/faith/church? I'm glad to see you made it out okay. Freya Dohlman Avenging Priest of the Crescent Moon -------------------- Stacey

My apologies Freya
I’m not ignoring your request but being new to the region, I’m a little light in detail of where we were. I’ll endeavour to find out and will let you know. Many thanks Rudy |

Thank you Rudy,
I have done some investigation myself and it was in the far north bordering on the ruins of keys. The unholy champion was part of a group known as the Cult of Black greed and they were payed by someone or something who could not be scried about. They were payed to unite the tribes in the area to another although your actions seem to have disrupted this for now. We should all be aware of this cult, they are dangerous and elusive as they are unlikely to be the main cause of the issue at hand. Rudy, Ritz will organise your payment for your report. By all accounts you acted as well as anyone could have hoped, good work Darren -------------------- James Isteed

Many Thanks in advance Louis Athanyn |

If this regards a hire I believe it does I would urge anyone present to pass me statements regarding the killing of a mercenary on that day by a ratfolk named Charis. Many Thanks in advance Louis Athanyn Louis I was there that day and witnessed it first hand. Charis did indeed kill the mercenary in question but it was not without provocation. The dead mercenary in question was possessed by a beserk spirit and had attacked me on 2 occasions along with several other members of the party. I was endeavouring to manage the situation by calling for party members to drop weapons when all the enemy were dead but it was not that simple. When he was killed the berzerker had caused significant damage to the party, only cured by the generous donations of fellow knights and other friends of healing scrolls which I was able to employ. Charis was, I believe acting in the best interests of the party to try and disable the berzerker but took it too far. I tried to apprehend Charis after the event to hand him in for judgement but he was able to hide in the walls and then vanished but I’m glad he took the opportunity to hand himself in. In my opinion, he acted in self defence and that of the party but with an undesirable outcome. I hope this assists in your investigation Rudy |
