Two options here!

1) i could play Vrek my Ritter Armoured Priest.... well sort of...
2) I could play Rand the Circle accepted God of the South...

It has seemed in the past that not everyone is particularly enamoured with the Southern background from a reffing point of view. I'd be massively keen to try and find a referee who was prepared to run a series of dungeons for the Circle-based characters.

Whilst he's busy elsewhere I know Andy is...

How about Mr. Armstrong?

From a reffing perspective the dungeons practically write themselves...
It's a great book.

Cool - will book either 15th or 16th - if people have any particular preference please post.

Re. guest slots - would like it to be Guild special - but if there are spaces then obviously better to have them filled than not.

Currently am free for both dates. Spoke to Smithers and he expressed some interest in running some Southern based dungeons.

I cant see why referees have issues with reffing southern stuff - its so rich in plot, dark and gothic - its great!

That would be awesome if Henry was up for it.

Will be the 15th (as I have realised I am busy on the 16th smile.gif )

Would be god to get 2 parties.

And yes it is great background - perhaps the Empire is more at the forefront of people's minds ?

I'm potentially up for this though not so keen on more than one party. It would have to be pretty much circle only in my eyes and probably wouldn't be spiter/sunless related.

Fair enough - the main thing is to have a Guild special. If you could ref that would be great.
Have e-mailed the booking line - there is an Unbalanced Guild Special booked for the 15th March.

Hope that is all good. Book on.

Giles.

Smithers/Lilley you disgust me 15th is England v's Ireland.

On a different note I think Rob/Giles is right it is a very cool and dark place, but the book has not been read enough by people (including me to be fair) and its not the best set out easyist thing to digest.

Also Baronial characters seemed to be a bit like in the old days orientals just a bit harder for no real reason which I know some people find annoying.

Ritter Drachyul...hard..?! ROFLMAO. They are so bad even I don't play mine anymore smile.gif

I don't think Baronial characters are harder than average (with a few exceptions - forces priests and mystics spring to mind), I do think they should never have been allowed a guild as that got round the balancing restriction. But hey, I don't really care and I like playing my Circle character in the guild.

Ishmaics, now, they are totally unreasonable smile.gif

Indeed, for some characters the Circle benefits are nice but not horror, I think 3 normal guilds for most characters is pretty strong in comparison - agree about Chrissys point regarding guilds but it gives a forum for doing circle-based activities on the plus side and whilst a Deny Power innate is useful it's not going to destroy the world.

Perhaps, as others say, the book hasn't been read by enough people.

Oh Henry, if you are interested I some a chunk of Heroes plot that I wouldn't mind ironing out if anyone else is keen.

And to Redders, I can't believe you don't think we'll have the tournament won by the time of the Ireland match....for'shame!

Just to bowl a googly in here, anyone fancy a Mirrenheim city day? I can guarantee you a full ultra section and a stack of Heroes stuff to deal with, as well as actually having an effect on the enduring game world.

Stuart

Stuart, please 'bowl a googly' rather than 'throw a curveball'.

Edit: Thanks for amending your post Stuart and sorry for letting my antimonoculturalism out of its box smile.gif

I would be up for Baronies themeday type thing too.

Matt

Would be up for that - would be perfect excuse to have a mixture of Imperial and Baronial types & would prolly work pretty well as a 'special event' day = bit like the Elbereth 3 party thing
