There was a dull thud that reverberated around the Waldgrafine as the power of the pretender Throne completed and exploded. The site of disaster could be seen by the departing mercenaries to collapse into the ground, briefly a crater before being filled by a place of Nightmare; a fragment of Ruin's own realm brought the Primus itself. Dark lightning crackled in the sky above and low, tormented screams haunted the soul of any who heard.

The dark power rose in a pillar above the site of the event, as high as the eye could see for a full 24 hours as though connecting with a place far far away, before receding leaving only what some, who could bear to look might describe as a shadow city. Great hulking beasts stalked the streets, vicious claws still dripping with the blood of heroes. Twisted forms of nightmarish power flickered in and out of existence.

Most barely dared look upon it though, else they would have seen, inch by inch, the darkness creeping further and further out, consuming the Waldgrafine of Alunkhand one sliver at a time.

The Southern Baronies as a whole, having mostly shaken off the propaganda of years ago, began to resemble its old, dark, moniker. Primus struggled to remain intact in the aftermath of the Chaos Wars, though this past year had seen significant mercenary attention being poured into reversing this.

But this hit, alongside the sudden surge of the faith of the Tryst within the lands all but broke reality.

The Circle had their work cut out for sure...

Those who observed more closely talked of somewhere, between the solid fabric of Primus and elsewhere, that Lord Knight Darren wielded a great runed axe almost as large as himself against a terrifying beast of nightmares. The beast, according to legend, could be harmed only by this long lost unique weapon, a weapon the Lord Knight had somehow acquired, and now the force of his blows bounced off its adamantium hard skin, causing nothing more than for him to turn and swipe at the fleeing Lord Knight with its terrifying claws.

Another tale came of a dark God walking the mortal realm for a day, surrounded by some of his most faithful, themselves brimming with the dark power of their Lord manifest.

One of said followers, the dark Vampire Kassadin, was seen shedding his own vampiric blood during the reconsecration of a former Destroyer temple that the dark procession has passed through, defeating the Destroyers Dark angel and other defenses in their wake.

Across Primus, in the wake of the destruction, there seemed to be much confusion over what had actually happened. Some (mainly those from Deci - so... much of the mercenary community) seemed to think that Tangle had saved Primus. Others were convinced that he had sold out to Ruin, making bargains to grant himself and his city power at the expense of the rest of Primus. Others claimed that Jesiah Blackheart, walking god, had travelled to primus to save it from complete destruction at Ruins hand, whilst others said he and Ruin were one and the same.

In a tavern in Alunkhand there was talk of a tall mage, who had just encased the notorious Rangar in gold, before slaying him, though there was no evidence of his body.

And still in many taverns across Primus and beyond, after the ale had been flowing, would be the singing of that catchy tune; "Rangar the Pure, Rangar the Righteous, Rangar he is Goo-ooo-odly!
