(OOC - there are posters up at the caves that read)
Mercenary Help Required My name is Elaina Carter and I have a pressing need for mercenary assistance with something close to my heart. I have sought all manner of help, which has been to no avail so far. And so I call upon those who may be able to assist with my problem. I have obtained a hiring license and would like any interested mercenaries to gather at the guild hiring hall near the Ducks Head tavern in Halgars northern quarter on the 5th day of Deeber at the 4th hour past noon. Elaina Carter. |

Intriguing...
I may see fit to journey to the tavern as requested. I assume you have a valid hiring license. It may be of some assistance if you can communicate the nature of your need. Jacoby Stillwater |

Jacoby Stillwater Well.. seeing as the lady in question has already mentioned she has obtained a hiring licence and considering they are practically impossible to counterfeit I say that the answer would be yes.. (wow one long sentance and it made sense.. I think that deserves a drink) I'm only guessing of course.. Natasha -------------------- ... And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men - evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, ´soon my XX-ray will destroy Deci bad

Fair point Natasha, although the distinction between things which are "practically imposible fo conterfeit" and "impossible to counterfeit" is an important one.

Jacoby I have been doing mercenary work since before licences were first issued, and I have never heard of one being faked. Occasionally issued to people who lied to get them - yes. But it's a ritually bound document, and hence not counterfeitable except, theoretically, by someone who has vastly more ritual power than the mercenaries he or she is likely to hire. Aeryn (OOC: They were brought in as impossible to counterfeit, but without any system-specific rules that people could get around to fake them. Doesn't stop an individual ref being a spanker of course...) |

As I say Aeryn, I consider myself to be a cautious man...once bitten, twice shy as they say.
