Not sure what Phil's view on it is. If consistent with the previous GSM then it would be a tricky thing to do.
As an aside Assassins cannot go Psi Master due to the fact that Psi Master is already in two brackets. BBB -------------------- Grey's Law: Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice...

I've written two versions of that pts so. One for my Psi-Master where quite simply all references to warrior are changed to Pathfinder in its description so its a neuronic Pathfinder.
I some time later then wrote a version for a Pyschic Kallah from Halgar justified by the fact the Imperial Seers are based on Halgar (that was for , the rest is erh, as they say, history...) This depends on exactly what you want from it. If you want to be exactly like a ninja, but from the empire, then it's probably a no. Points apps are for writing new things, not just buying things you normally cant have.
If you want to be the imperial equivalent of a ninja, we already have those, they're called assassins. If you want the ninja tendency stats but don't want to be a ninja at heart, then it's just a matter of branding. You'd need a good description of what you actually *are* and why that gets these specific magical or neuronic innates. "Rehabilitated psi scout", "Spellthief" or similar with a little bit of blurb to explain who you are and what you do, then make it "As per ninja but XYZ". This is going about it the wrong way though, you'd want to come up with the concept first and then fit stats around it. |

Aah, just saw this. Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't dabblers can buy neural foci? That plus the passive and active tables are all you need for tip top scouting. They can. Plenty of published ways to get something like the tendency -------------------- |

I used to have one. As Ninja but no Ki, gains neuromastery @ will, can buy foci, then a m/c that expanded on that and gave me some psi bracket buy as. Then Ninja got removed and the character is now completely different.
There's a few paths that easily come to mind though: 1 - a cheap ability that just says "I'm western" but otherwise buy all the standard stuff (assassin, ninja tendancy, etc). 2 - start as an assassin, go fully active, m/c into the psi bracket. 3 - start as an awakener. Huw |

Many thanks gents, lots of food for thought. The original concept was for a pathfinder stealthmage that cloacked himself in shadows & after reading the night angle trilogy thought a wetboy flavor would be good.... But that made him an assassin so the brain spiraled.

im afraid i know nothing of neural foci as iv not been able to get the correct book. could you shine some light on this pls.... Neural Focus is an ability for Neuronic classes which reduces the casting damage for neuronics by one per purchase, to a minimum of 1/3. Dabblers who have Rec Neuronics can buy them for 40pts each iirc J -------------------- No of course I won't ref. Are you mad?
