Labyrinthe Forum _ Church of Unity _ Return to the Picnic of Doom!

Hi all

Short notice I know, but Julian has said he could probably ref us the follow up to last Saturday's excitement on the 27th September, which would mean that not too much time passed and hopefully we could all remember whats going on!

What's people's availability like? I can make it, and would be keen to do so smile.gif

I'll have to try and book annual leave for that weekend, so will let you know by the end of the week if I am free

Cheers

Mark

Id love to play, sounds like I missed a right goodun!

Would it be an OL or caves Christine? Im guessing that its getting colder and the legend that was 'that picnic' may be hard to replicate.

Booked onto something else already, so one less hardliner. smile.gif

Matt

Posted by: Christine Sep 2 2009, 08:11 AM

At the moment J6 is free and I'd like to try and make it an overland, weather depending. We may not be able to have such an awesome picnic, but given we are finishing off the previous adventure it would be nice to be in the same place.

So thats a yes from me, Jan and Carlo, and alas a no from Rebecca and Matt, and a possible Mark. Hmmm... Anyone else?

That's the day of the Dark Forest stuff, so I am unavailable

I'm working that weekend, sorry.

Posted by: Gordon Sep 2 2009, 08:28 AM

Being the last weekend day before the KotL Myths I'll be busy doing other stuff and won't be available.

Posted by: sonof Sep 2 2009, 08:53 AM

I might be free. Depends on how much myths stuff I have left to do, and what Fi wants to do.

Thanks Lee, no pressure then -
Happy to play Myths prep dependant.... wink.gif

Posted by: Christine Sep 2 2009, 10:01 AM

Well if we can get enough people its looking possible. Its a shame it clashes with the Drak Forest stuff, but I think this was the only date Julian had in September, and thus our last real chance for another 12 hour sorry sad.gif

C

PS - Fi, if he's playing, he won't be writing more encounters to kill me on Myths!

Im sure unity and the dark forest will get along great...

hehe

I could alternatively do the 26th September, or first weekend of October, but so many people are caught up in the KotL stuff those aren't options

Julian

Posted by: Jasper Sep 2 2009, 10:54 AM

18th or 25th October?

I suggest these purely as I'm free on those dates...

I have been looking for GS to bring out my new unity armoured priest.

I am only straight 8th though I am afraid.

its ok, mine is only 500 points (and no blue card... so you probably win)

Carlo

Posted by: Fionamullin Sep 2 2009, 02:36 PM

Human Vivamancer - so rubbish...

Posted by: Jan Sep 2 2009, 04:10 PM

Last GS had a 75pts vivemancer, and a 140pts Warrior Priest and we roxxored, so a straight Armoured priest is welcome to join the jostling of the combat healing second row. There might have been some elbowing people out of the way to reach the combatants, or indeed reaching over more diminuitive healers.

Very good fun.

Shoulderbarge Total Heal for the win.

Ive had some impressive aggresive total heals before...

Julian as Kenobi, I charge in, spank him with a total heal, his glasses fall off and he gets beaten a bit.

(when i healed him, he was unwounded, after his glasses fell off, he then was...)

And then, Duckhouse as Eb, similar instances, except my 2 hands fell on his head which dazed him, causing him to take more blows.

oh the dangers of combat healing...

Carlo

So - are there enough people available to ahead on the 27th or do you want to leave until later?

(trying to confirm things as I'm away & uncontactable next week)

Julian

Posted by: StuartEaston Sep 3 2009, 05:42 PM

I would definitely be interested in playing this. If you don't mind having your hardline talthar priest back to take the fight to all the evil spirit warriors. tongue.gif

We need someone to kick off with the whole fighty fight thing! At least you had the grace to wait until the madness was setting in smile.gif

I would be up for the 27th if it goes ahead.

I've done more than one Total Heal in the past as Chernobyl which involved locking the head of some frenzied fighter in my grip so that he couldn't get away and pinning him til I was done.

I am tempted to do this as Neb, my baronial hedge hermit priest with a stick. Was contemplating Unity... dunno yet smile.gif

Sounds good Bruno! Im sure i re worded the ethos to let hermit types join...

(Ok, I may have also published the wrong verbal to the unity miracle, but oh well)

Carlo

Posted by: Bruno Sep 3 2009, 08:18 PM

I think you did, which is why I thought I might!

Posted by: Christine Sep 3 2009, 09:26 PM

You totally did publish the wrong verbal. And if everyone whose said they can do it, can, then we have enough to go ahead smile.gif

Will book tomorrow, people should book on.

It's booked and am currently booked on.
May have to book off to avoid the myths party having gruel on night one but will do my best to ensure I am there.

Also booked on.

Not sure whether to play Clovis or Remstar though, I'll see how the party pan out points wise. Mine are 500 points and T12, so a bit of a difference.

Posted by: Jan Sep 4 2009, 04:53 PM

I have booked on. I note it is booked as a Max 7500, not as an unblanaced or anything, so I *might* be using semaphore and being on another hill smile.gif

Well you can be sure that sections 1 & 2 will absolutely be statted according to the sample principles used last time

Julian

Posted by: ethuil Sep 4 2009, 05:36 PM

The "Unified Strength gives enough power ups to make any level character survive" principle?

No, the fact that last time you did sections 1-3 out 5, so...

Julian

Ok. Booked too.

Can we please have section one getting my character a name.... I still can't think of one.

Have had to book off - but Lee will still be there so have as much fun as you can.

That leaves us at 8...

So, who's playing?

I'm going to play Remstar in a shameless points grab for myths. Just under T12.

Carlo

I might book at any second, but I haven't yet. It's very exciting.

I've booked on as the threshold allows 7k witches

White Wind & Unity - how can you possibly justify those two sets of restrictions at once?

Julian

Posted by: MarkCox Sep 18 2009, 11:40 AM

i'm not sure how Elysian and WW work either - we'll have to see - and my special ninja WW powers will no doubt aid me- can't spy on people without appearnig to be a bit wossy.
Its all about ones inner conflict versus the ties that bind - theres angst in there. Poetry.

I have Disruption as a spell and i'm prepared to use it :-]

I've been hearing good things about the last picnic from Eastonator. (who is a GOD on Guitar Hero 5 even though he could barely see for watery eyes. Damn animal allergies!)

Do I need to bring anything?

A similar thing to start would be a nice way for me to ease into the new character. Not got the concept quite right in my head yet and being 0 points, I suspect I might be a little delicate. You watch my 5k war mentality come out when I don that armour. Should be interesting smile.gif

Looking forward to it.

Well, alas for reasons that are probably obvious (being so fat I can't get down the main tunnel being the main one) I can't do this anymore sad.gif However, this is no excuse for the rest of you and indeed you are more likely to finish Julian & Lucy's excellent campaign* without me getting in the way. So if you haven't booked on, do so, and if you have, try not to die as we could do with more guild extensions. From memory we have one 12 hour held over (the last one we did at the start of October, after the September guild directory came out), but we can always use more!
