I've been slow in saying thanks to Giles, Andy and Julian for this. They were absolutely amazing and for a small party we were pushed right to the limit and half an inch beyond.

Really interesting plot, great engagement and so much fun.

Thanks all

In a bit of a mix-up, Jamie's booked to monster when he thought he'd booked to play. That would leave us only with a ref and an A-ref.

If anyone's free to monster the Atheron tomorrow it would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks

Kalix

I will also be coming along and happy to try to help. I can also make use of healing scrolls, but probably from the other side! Also teaching scrolls of interesting spells such as Earth Shield, perhaps?

I am delighted to see a priest from my homeland will be accompanying us. Surely nothing can go wrong with a member of the priesthood there!

For those who were unable to attend yesterday, could you please give an update on the election of the Lord Knight and their plans for the year?

Many thanks

We're expecting to bring along a warrior priest, a wizard and a scout. All neutral but constructive and reasonable.

Huge thanks to Rob for an amazing adventure, and to Ivan, Pia, Callum, Tracy and Martin for bringing it to life. I have had a great time with the campaign and today was no exception.

The party was brilliant and so much fun to spend time with. Though when we track down the person responsible for stealing the Rod of Cancellation there is definitely going to be hell to pay!

Really look forward to playing with people again some time soon.

I'm being a bit slack at the moment while life gets back on the road. Giles has booked to ref on 3rd March - I'll probably book to ref for the first Sunday in February and then we'll take it from there. Just need to make sure work doesn't need me.

Huge thanks to Giles, Ian and Andy for a great adventure on Sunday. It was well-pitched, dangerous and challenging with some really interesting and novel ideas normally not seen outside of extended lengths. The quality of Giles's work was absolutely top notch, such good fun.

Thanks

Coming soon. Been snowed at work and will be a couple of weeks before I can sit down with my diary and sketch things out for next year.

My general view though is the first Sunday of every month.

A few people have offered to ref. If they want to claim months that would be great - please let me know.

**THANK YOU** to Rob for reffing yet another absolutely top notch, plot heavy, well balanced, interesting and dangerous roleplay experience, and to Ed, Martin, Ivan Pia for bringing it to life. I had a really great day.

Thanks also to the party, especially those portions I wasn't related to, for making it so enjoyable. Really looking forward to the next one.

QUOTE(Kail @ Oct 26 2023, 07:20 AM) *
For this year's vote we are changing the way people will be able to vote.

To cast a vote you must be doing something at the caves, playing a KotL or crewing. Each time you play a KotL character or crew you will be able to cast a vote, so you will be able to vote more than once.

Edd

I think this is a really bad change in itself, as well as totally the wrong way to make the change. This excludes people who either struggle to get down the caves, or who are really busy when they are down the caves - when I am reffing I never have time to do makes or other things.

The previous system has worked perfectly well for years, and so before you just change things you should explain:

1. What is so wrong with the old system that justifies junking it in favour of this new variation,
2. What the impact will be of changing it, both good and bad, and
3. What you are doing to ameliorate the impact on the people who will now be unable to vote

Having done that, you then stand for election on the basis that you will, if elected, change the system in this way.

Arbitrarily changing voting systems without actually getting approval of your voters is really really bad. So bad.

Mostly ditto, but more specifically thanks to Rob for a really well written and challenging but well balanced adventure. The party used all they had and a little bit more to get through the day intact. The props were awesome, and I was scribbling notes all day long.

Callum, Adam and "double the hits, double the fun" Aodhan were all great too, each terrifying in their own particular ways while also taking the characters beyond what was just written on the page.

And the party of course, all of whom were brilliant and interesting and fun too.

Really looking forward to the next one.

Hope you’re feeling better Andy. We cracked in without you and the party did brilliantly. Apologies it was a little silly on occasion today / I was clearly going stir crazy while writing. Normal service will resume shortly.

I've got a dagger sheath hand-sewn from suede on the first myths I did as J, and a tiny pouch as Marik that has one of the Rings of the Dwarven Lords sealed inside it. A tricorn for Kazathael with holes for his horns, and a red greatcoat I made for my warlock Ossivus. I love my furs and robes as Corvus, but really it's the home-made stuff I love to put on when I'm getting in character.

I've been thinking about this, and didn't really get my ducks in a row.

I want crafting to be a part of the system. I want people who can make stuff to be in demand. I want people to look at points spent on crafting and think it's a worthwhile investment. I want people to organise dungeons to get crafting stuff, kill interesting monsters for their skins, hunt cool metal and rescue kidnapped smiths.

So on Sunday I'll issue all players, and all new players thereafter, with an armour card with three uses remaining for free. When that runs out, you need to source it yourself. That should give everyone time to sort themselves out, maybe spend some points and the like.

Thanks

Following your recent efforts, I would like to give my friends new and old a chance to sit back, relax and enjoy a little poetry reading in the City of Crothos. Be warned, it can get a little exciting from time to time and so if you are easily disturbed you might want to consider whether to attend. Come armed.

I am paying three Crowns apiece to those attending, and to spice things up I will also be running a lottery. First prize is a vacation for 6 in an exclusive villa overlooking the Lor Delta, with delightful views across the Crystal Sea.

Warm regards

Hektor Crayle

Bump.

Plenty of room on the Atheron adventure this Sunday - the usual caves system, its own world to play in, no monster point items so everyone has a level playing field. It's going ahead but we could do with another monster, and three's room for more players too.

See you there,

It's looking like this is going ahead, with seven players, and A-Ref and a monster.

There's space for 5 more players, and we could do with another monster or two. Why not come along and join the fun? It's very new player friendly, with no character-boosting, monster point items and a really welcoming and engaging party.

Hope to see you there,

Stuart

Jamie and I have booked on, but it feels a bit rude given it's still an Earthsunder 5,250 at the moment.
