The rising smoke and fire visible to the south east of the Dark Forest diminished and died away as Starsday wore on.
As the following days passed villagers from the striken Town of Bespoke passed through Scarlene, passing on their rumours of that fateful day. A mismatched group of mercenaries venturing into the previously unknown catacombs beneath the town (though they could probably have guessed there were some, this is Labyrinthia after all), demons running amock, Bob, the old head of staff at the local St Michael shrine dead at the hands of the mercenaries for reasons unknown but allegedly justified, and a visible upswing in Dwarves passing too and fro... But on the bright side, there were no more demons, and no more fire spewing out of the centre of the town. Those brave enough to venture to the edge of the cave in that was what was left of the town square could distinctly hear the sounds of metal on metal, and the rhythmic beat of the hammer. -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
