So…….
There are 10 days until the big day. I hope the below will be a guide to the event, an event that I am very much hoping you will all enjoy. Things I need before the event. An e-mail’d battle board. The final battle board with your spend finished and ready to go. Don’t put any equipment on this battleboard. Items yes, but not potions scrolls etc. Any character background information you would like me to read. e-mail any points apps you have, or catch me at the caves this weekend. Use the booking line e-mail, that will be the best. PM our mother Dave Ryder with any dietary requirements Things you need to bring to the event A kit battle board, this is all you potions, scrolls and other equipment. It should have everything on it for all the days (4), i.e you are equipped with 3 x 12pts per day record this as 12 x 12pts. Please leave some blank space incase kit gets added to, or swapped, or given etc. Knife, Fork, Spoon, Bowl, Plate, mug and drinking vessels Sleeping bag, Pillow, towel. Pants, Socks(plenty of), other usual clothes not covered by costume Tooth brush, Shower products, any medication you may be on or taking. Costume 4 sets allow for bad weather. Make-up and other character requirements. Character cards, potion cards etc. Any sleeping mats, camping beds, or blow up mattresses I am sure will please the monsters Any snacks, chocolate, fizzy drinks that you may want (its worth remembering the monsters in this), it is a catered event interms of three main meals a day, but that is where it stops. Alcohol, any beers or other alcohol you may require (it is also worth remembering the monsters in this to). The monsters + the mother!! Arrival If people want to meet for Lunch, (lunch is not provided on Thursday) there is a good pub round the corner from site, im sure someone will help me with the name. I would suggest meeting at 12 ish. Please arrive on site from 13:30 on the Thursday. Get your self set up in a bedroom as quickly as you can, get into costume/make up etc, and be ready to go. Once your ready come and find me waiting a little way from the house. You will need to bring everything ready for time in. I intended for these preperations to start at 4:00 with a quick briefing at half four, with time in being called just after. During the event. Please remember all the usual labyrinthe rules, and above all be safe and have fun. Should you have a problem at any stage during the event. Please come and see me straight away, don’t try to deal with things yourself, seek my help. This will be a minimal alcohol event, and I would like people to approach time in as if they needed to drive a car as per UK driving limits. That said there is likely to be role play only times, at which point this rule will be relaxed. Role play is important, follow your role play, play your restrictions, this is a constant time in event, so avoid falling out of character and ruining your own and others emersion. Take your hits, and play your stats. If you die, its not the end of the world, we have vitea for a reason. Loose 10% to the encounter, not 100% in the de-brief. Should you at any time want to party kill, or carry out any other sort of PvP, please try to give me a heads up, and make sure I am watching. If I don’t see it, I cant know for sure what happened. Time out I intend to call Time out around 11:30 am, all being well. Please then get out of costume and start cleaning the site. I know that we all want to talk about the event afterwards, but lets get clear and tidy quickly, then you can talk as much as you like. I will start doing points once I have had a chance for last minute conferral with the crew. Every player is to help clear up, and I will take a dim view on anyone not doing so, this may well be reflected in your points. All being well we can be off site by 15:00, Lastly make sure all the monsters get home again. I hope you will all have fun any questions you know where I am. Regards Duncan |

Hog roast, boar sausages and wild pheasant please. (there really isn't I don't like but can we budget simple snacks food like fruit etc? Many thanks for mothering) Fruit as snacks is a must. I have come off too many extended lengths craving vegetables because the weekend has been a sugar/carb overload. If the budget doesn't stretch that fat because dunc wants Dover sole I will bring it Xx -------------------- Kat

Don't forget lights for the night time.
More lights and some more lanterns and some lights. Fighting in the dark is unsafe, bring lights. Your illuminating helpful genie. Andrew (bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and then meat and carbs for tea) |

Ok so we are seriously lacking monsters for Thursday and Friday day time of this event. I'm contemplating booking off and maybe just playing the weekend with monstering the Thursday and Friday. Anyone got any bright ideas other than this one?
