Reporting to have arrived from Shadowfell, a group of labourers drove their horses through the streets of Halgar, visibly beaming with pride and chattering excitedly to one another. Behind the horses a large cart with something that could only be a statue, covered in a messy blanket. A crowd of curious city folk gather in the cart's wake, speculating, discussing and not at all agreeing.

As they slowed to a stop outside the Temple of the Tryst the intensity of the chatter grew. Some sort of towering demonic creature maybe? Dramatically clawing at the sky? It was getting dark however, and the temple guards dispersed the crowds, allowing the workers to get on with it.

As the sun crept over the buildings, the golden lines of blinding light sliding slowly down the walls of the temple, the people of Halgar were already out in force, gawping and whispering in front of the newest feature of their city.

Carved of black marble, red veins of some gemstone flowing throughout, the statue stood some 12 feet tall. The robes flowed like liquid behind the dramatic pose struck by the startling likeness of Serin, High Priestess of the Tryst. Her hair cascaded down her shoulders, eyes staring fiercely into the distance. Hands resting gently on her hips, the detail of her high boots etched in glowing crimson that shone deeply as the sunlight crept gradually down, taking in the power and menace that such a figure should inspire.

Some turned away... perhaps in fear...

Many though stood in awe, inspired.

Recruitment to the Tryst was doing very well these days indeed...
