I am playing a Brown/Silver Mancer on myths and I have an idea for a glyph or ability that means my character has premonitions in his dreams. The basic idea would be that during the night the character dreams about possible events that are likely to happen the next day. This would mean the ref gets to give me a vague description of relevant things but nothing plot spoiling. I am finding it difficult with the wording for the ability. Also I am not sure if this should be a glyph cast just before I go to sleep or an ability. This is for a brown/silver mancer that has entered the warrior bracket. Peter Gains a Lucky Idea after N hours of sleep about what's likely to happen/be needed in the following day? Maybe 1 idea per N hours of sleep? |

Maybe 1 idea per N hours of sleep? im not sure the per x hours sleep is a good idea, as it is a bit hard to judge exactly and may result in losing out on your enjoyment by going to sleep earlier. Maybe a comm 2 answer regarding the days events, and a picture of one event that may come to pass, perhaps an indication of failure or success. |

As per comm 2 after a good night's sleep, but you don't get to ask the questions, instead you are given useful (and potentially cryptic) advice. This can predict the future to a limited extent.

Peter Because I am a silver wizard, I often subconsciously get bits of knowledge out of the ether - at ref's discretion, may have prophetic dreams or visions, but <character name> has no ability to control when these occur". Decent Myths referees love abilities like that - it allows them all sorts of capacity for foreshadowing, putting the party on the right lines etc, and if they know you have it they will use it. On the other hand, if they don't want to give the party any sort of information, no ability, no matter how tightly worded will help. Lucy |

Lucy Thanks Lucy that is really good and what I actually wanted from the ability. Peter -------------------- Peter Smith
