The Young Mercenaries went to deal with a problem about a days hard ride north of Gileenum in a small village called the Empty Grove. There had been random occurrences whereby people were either ageing dramatically in what appeared to be seconds or getting younger, buildings were aging hundreds of years overnight and similar such strange things were going on. On a side note the local watchman Ian Ironcuffs had kidnapped Beatrice Baker the Bakers daughter, and Tim the Hammer, the local blacksmith, had gone after her.
It turns out that the strange time occurrences were being caused by a very old ritual located in a temple half a days further ride north of the village of Empty Grove. During a fight between Tim and Ian, Beatrice had accidentally got in the way of Tim when he was going to deliver the final blow to Ian for kidnapping Beatrice. Beatrice had leapt in the way and got mortally wounded. Tim had taken Beatrice to the temple to save her life but having no knowledge of the power of the ritual rather than saving her life they were both caught in a time loop. The young mercenaries failed to stop the ritual and the ritual is growing in power consuming the area around the temple and spreading further. This could become a serious threat to Primus as part of the land is now trapped in this time loop. The young mercenaries were mainly comprised of Knights of the Land and felt great remorse for what they failed to do and what has happened because of their failure. The question is will some Knights of the Land rally together to put an end to the threat? -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
