Labyrinthe Forum _ Church of the Forge and the Warsmiths _ Forge related dungeon

Posted by: RichFromant Aug 31 2010, 12:05 PM

Following on from yesterday's Port Meire themeday, Julian has agreed to ref a dungeon to go deal with the spiters forces at Curn's Grasp, a place of importance for the church.

Probably looking at around a 4k ish dungeon, and will probably end up as a Gerehand & William plus friends day out, but anyone else free with a Forge related character are welcome.

Current dates are either the 9th or 10th of October, as both me and Julian free those days. Any preference from others? BBB and Wimble mainly

Psychic shaped guest?

Posted by: pillers Aug 31 2010, 12:44 PM

Its a bit of a long shot but as Croch my LOTS Twarf Priest I could potentially be interested in a guest slot if they were available . Will have done the 3 day by then so will hopefully be 3800 or so but count as higher coz of blueness. Its quite an IC thing for Croch to do as a Twarf / Former Craftenguilder/miner etc etc . So if a Dismissal priest with total , res and dismiss 8 would assist then please consider it.

Yeah Croch would definately be welcome, will be aimed at those with characters with a smithing type theme, then adding invites to others to fill in the gaps that we are missing in classes.

I'd be happy to come along as my wizard. Not much to do with forging, but we did a three day together and i'd fill the wizard gap! :-)

October's a pretty bad time for me but that weekend is probably the best.

You'd need at least 6 guild members on the dungeon for that

Julian

Posted by: RichFromant Aug 31 2010, 02:53 PM

Saturday it is then. Will email Jo now to get it booked.

Would need 7 priests to make it a church with benefits, which i think we would struggle with. Suppose if there was interest could start a "Smithing" guild but think we wouldn't have many members, people would there knights/frontline benefits!

Posted by: pillers Aug 31 2010, 03:08 PM

Vauguely amused by the idea of a Metal Detectorists side line , given the geeky nature (like we can talk) , it can always be a guild you dont battle board but are a member of. But just generally quite like the idea of a dungeon and the Port Meire thing is interesting . So quite a lot of hooks for various characters ( although would have to opt out if there was an undead creator/summoner on the party)

Well the chuirch exists, its been in print for a few years it was started by a points request so people could start playing.

We do need to get more memebrs to get a full guild special, need to pester warren to play and try to get some more people involved.

I'd possibly be interested as my Ggrutuck, if you can stomach more warding priests...

Definite interest in smithing and similar although for obvious reasons cannot join any guilds - might try to get something whereby I can join but not benefit from guilds to help if needed.

You could go for guild benefits that gave bonuses for making perhaps? It would make IC sense that you gather rare ores and guild secrets on forging, have blessed anvils and supernatural forge fires etc. Ready supply of guild special plots to go get this or that rare ingredient or similar.

Rarely battleboarded, but often used at the desk?

Julian

Could i come smile.gif
I would be playing Gere Jnr
Hopefully a mantic brown wizard / grey Knight with full Blacksmithing skills (as per warrior)
Currently have no patron for my grey knight side of things but ''THE FORGE'' would be a possibility

I would be just over 3k.

(For those that do not know Gere Jnr is hopefully my avatar of Gere 10k Dwarven Warrior)

Sunday would be better as i should be monstering saturday but can make both if it is booked on saturday.

Like your thinking Julian... If there are enough people that would be interested in a "smithing" guild linked to the church of the forge then happy to make it a guild start up.

Gere Jnr would be welcome smile.gif

Looking at the booking have decided to switch the dungeon to Sunday the 10th October as not to clash with Stuart Maggs's footnotes campaign.

Genius Mr Wiffen...

So, "Friends of The Forge"?, "The Metal Smiths"? "The Smiths"?

This is now on the booking sheet as a closed max 4k, although is open to anyone with a forge/smithing type link or theme. Password is anvil.

Will sort out guest slots in a couple of weeks time once we know who is booked on.

Am thinking for the guild a proffesional guild open to all those who are able to make Weapons, Shields, and Armour including pirest and Wizards who have bought the make magic/spirit weapons or Armour abilites. Thoughts?

2K - That would be nice! I'm 1.5k at the moment - still I should get a couple of dungeons in before then ~ need to catch up with Gerehand.

Giles.

Been offered a guest as Nikoli, but only if there is space

be cool if Gerehand, Nev and Phillipe are there

Do it Ed, play Phillipe

Yep Giles your welcomed as Nev if your not on baby duty

Posted by: iainwimble Sep 10 2010, 12:44 PM

Well i would like to play this but the big problem i have is i am about 500 to 600 in points range as my forge priest but i do have a gold wizard mancer at the 2k mark i would like to play if that would be ok.

Also other options are my 1.5K of pure Warrior ?.

You're an armoured priest ~ you'll be fine!

BBB

Posted by: Gordon Sep 10 2010, 01:17 PM

If I can make it I'd go with my 8th & 75pts Forge Priest but lack of a hammer would likely stop me.

Other options are Radiant - who is an actual smith and happy to fight the Spiter's Forces.

Posted by: RichFromant Sep 10 2010, 02:04 PM

Obviously would prefer people to play there Forge related characters but accept level is quite high. Although think you would be fine Iain, we will be able to give Julian a party list in advance and no one over 3k so far.

Posted by: pillers Sep 10 2010, 06:51 PM

Gordon , I have a hammer you can borrow its hand and a half length . I'll have smithing as Warrior specialist by then ( am 1st Class Warrior and 1st Class priest) so hope to be able to join the guild , only a worry if its a professional guild when that would be awkward, social much easier to blag ( or frankly so is political)

Others that have asked/been offered a guest slot feel free to book on to

I got Jo to limit the party size on this due to general lack of monsters on the day, party list is as follows:

Rich - Gerehand - 2.5k Forge Priest
BBB - William - 2k Smith/ Grey knight
Tiffer - Uthred - 3k Warding Priest
Huw - Dusk - 2.5K Warrior Priest I presume?
Dan - Nikoli - 3k - Neuronocist
Easton - Garrus - 3k Thug
Giles - Nev - 2.5K Wizard

We so far haven't got any monsters booked, if anyone can call in favors then please do!
