So thought I would wait until after the jubilee weekend, when the keen for more overlands is hopefully there.

First thing to mention is this is a birthday special for Dunc. And to a lesser extent for Hoz and I too. But it's Dunc's 40th, and would love as many people as possible to come along to celebrate and say thanks for all he does. Mainly by giving him a good battering ofc! tongue.gif

July 9th and 10th we have a 2 party special booked at Dormansland. Saying this site is a players back garden really doesnt do it justice, it is the most amazing site, even better than Buckmore in my opinion! Two parties can easily use the site and never see each other all day. Lots of varied terrain, and a great fire pit for morning meet up and breakfast, and be an ooc bbq and drinks in the evening. I am providing a tonne of meat from a great farm shop for all the crew for the BBQ. Probably be plenty left over for players too, and loads of fridge space to bring your own.

Several people are camping over that night, and room for plenty more, just let me or James Kearns know if you want to. And I am happy to help co-ordinate and sort out lifts for people that need them.

So what's the score on the logistics side? I am confident that the Saturday is going to be fine for both parties. The no max is full and has a waiting list. There are currently 7 players on the lows, though one of them I believe might be taking the empty spot on the no max. Think the average points for the "lows" is around the 5-7k mark. Whilst both are guild specials, am absolutely fine with guest spots for anyone appropriate. And the Brood is open to all, people often think have to be in some way gold or ivory but you definitely dont.

The Sunday, I am sad to say I am probably going to have to cancel the low side. James and Mark cant ref both days. So unless a kind ref would offer to step up so it can run I will make the call early. As crew looks more scarce for the Sunday too. I will give it a week to see if any ref and crew step up, but otherwise will be just the no max on the Sunday. Which is a shame as already have enough players for a party on the Sunday too.

On the Saturday, we have a solid start of crew for the no max. And lots more people have said they will come. So hopeful be fine, and be an overspill of people willing to crew the low. But if anyone is free to help, and can sign up, would be great to be sure it's not going to be a last minute panic. Also if we can get people signed up, think we can get a slightly bigger party for the no max so those people on the waiting list get to play too.

We have done these joint birthday specials a few times before now. Always overlands. And they have always been a really great weekend. Both for the dungeons, and for the ooc bbq and drinks after. So all welcome, hope to see as many people as possible! And very welcome just for the Saturday evening if cant make either day!

Cheers,

Sean

What a brilliant thing to do, and a great site!

Would love to be there, but attending a music festival with the family that has been booked sinceā€¦ 2020 (once all is done).

Have a great time,

Alasdair

Just to confirm, as per the above, I have sent the email today to cancel the low level section on Sunday 10th July. Sorry but without refs, and with crew looking more tricky for that day, it's best to make the call early.

Hoping a few more people will book to crew (or play) the lows on Saturday, though have heard more people are coming than are signed up anyway.

Dont forget, will be bringing a tonne of meat to char on the bbq on the Saturday evening for crew!

Cheers,

Sean

I'll likely swap over to monster for the Sunday though that might depend on school commitments.

Tim.

Just a bump to this, now we are getting very close. And tbh, stuck at home with Covid so looking forward to this all the more! tongue.gif

Anyone who'd like to come but not sure about guild suitability, very happy for guest slots, so long as you'd fit in.

And crew very, very welcome too! Currently planning on providing enough meat from a decent farm shop to feed about 10 crew plus myself! So a couple of cows worth! But would be very happy to increase this if more crew sign up soon! smile.gif

Likely to be some of that left over for others too. But for those who are attending, lots of fridge space on site, so remember to bring stuff for the BBQ after. And beer. Lots and lots of beer!

Loads of us are staying overnight, cya there!
