Back from a fun filled 2-day and gearing up for another special event this weekend:

Saturday
Tribal Bash – A 2 party overland at a new site and a new format that includes an IC BBQ in the evening with the option to camp over before and after if people wanted. The sections are a max 15k, which is full and a max 3k which is at 7 players, what we do need however is a ref for the 3k section and some more monsters. See the separate thread for more details
Max 750 – The only cave dungeon currently running, it has 12 players booked already and 1 monster, it does however need a ref and an a-ref.
The caves are also booked by another system in the evening

Sunday
There is nothing currently booked as it is Father’s Day, although there is some talk of organising a dungeon, potentially a max 10k, see here for more info: http://www.labyrinthe.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=33354

Further Ahead
Tuesday Club is back next week, a max 1500 being reffed by Giles. It has plenty of crew already, so could do with with some more players!
The Thursday dungeon is happening next week as well, an unbalanced 10k being reffed by Sam M, it is full on players but is in need of an a-ref and some more monsters to join the 1 booked.
The next extended length is the 7th & 8th July, we also have Sean C birthday overlands running both of those days as the caves is being rented out to another system for the weekend. Am sure Sean would love loads of monsters to help him celebrate his birthday.

Rumours and Gossip
The next big lot of work on the new buildings is happening this week, Duncan will be down there all week and some help lifting and carrying will be needed. This will mainly be needed Tuesday night from 5.30pm onwards to help move the stupidly heavy beams that have been sitting in the car park the last couple of weeks. If you are free please come down to help.

There was a slight accident with the portcullis in area B last week, with bits of it breaking off, please be careful if near it. Unfortunately the mining inspector has said that a lot of the wood work in the caves needs to go so it is unlikely to be repaired or replaced at the moment.

Saturdays Tribal Bash now has Gordon reffing the lows, although it is down to 5 players, the highs has gained a monster but could still do with an a-ref and another monster as its at 11 players. If people are only able to play or monster part of the day that would still be really helpful. Just get in touch to let me know.

Nothing has changed on the 750 unfortunately. It is still in need of a ref. There are a few options we are considering keep an eye out this evening for an update.

Sunday's dungeon doesn't seem to have gained enough interest to run, so caves will more then likely be closed.

We have had a chat about the options for Saturday and have tried to come up with an option that will hopefully work for the majority of people:

The low section of the Tribal Games overland has been changed to a Max 750, as most of the party were under that level anyway.
The Max 750 at the caves has unfortunately been cancelled, however it is hoped that most, if not all can switch to playing the overland instead. A few notes about this:
It will be ok to play non-tribals on the low who have come along for the day, but will obviously be very tribal themed. Dwarves and Elves in particular may be given a bit of stick.
There will be bits where both parties are together, however their wont be any compulsory fights where you will be fighting high level monsters.
There is the option to do a normal £60 overland, finishing about 7.30pm and earning 165 points, if you did not want to do the evening BBQ as well. The total cost for doing the evening and having the BBQ as well is £80.
If you are under 16 you unfortunately wont be able to play, 16-18 year olds need to let me know so we can confirm they can play and be assigned a "responsible adult" for the event.
It should be possible to organise a few lifts too and from the caves if people need them.

Duncan will be opening the caves from 8.30am to 9.15am on Saturday for those that need to go their first. Ideally everyone will pay via bank transfer and come to site.

If you wish to monster the event rather then play, that is also great, and can put your monster points on as if you had booked off on the day to crew

If you do wish to play or monster please drop me an email to confirm and I will get everyone switched about in one go as Duncan is likely to be in the caves late tonight and all day tomorrow.

Any question please ask that aren't answered here or on the event posts linked above!

Also confirming, the caves will be closed on Sunday as well.

Hi Rich,

I’ve booked on to monster the 750point on Saturday.👍

If you want me to monster the 10k instead of the 750 I don’t mind. If you need me to A-Ref I will step up if there is no one more expireienced to assist.

What is your email Rich?

Cheers,

Simon.

So, with the some irony I managed to book the day off work to come monster next Thursday's dungeon, under the impression it was struggling for monsters, only to see that its full on crew.

Is there space for extra crew to turn up?

As the dungeon is full, I am sure extra monsters will be appreciated!
