Happy Friday!
So what has been your favourite, most exciting, interesting or even funny start to a dungeon? Be it a brief, a strange opening encounter, anything like that. Cheers Carlo |

Max 1500 Myths from 2007 (i think) The Rob S and Giles A cyclic plot of doom. We timed in effectively at the end of the final fight with the taste of strawberries in our mouths (having had a swig of Strawberry Fruit shoots given to us seconds before time in) having no memory of what had happened and one of what we thought was the major NPC's we met and allied with on the lead ups being dead and the center of our battle.
Poor old Faloren (Snakeboy_2 pre Tai) was dead on the floor. We had no memories and had to piece together everything. -------------------- Gordon Court

A standard 2 section caves event reffed by Lee Dale. Walked onto section 2 as my faerie wizard to be told "David, you're dead, fall over"
It turns out stepping into the section triggered a mantic major ward Very funny David |

Knights myths I crewed but I remember MCC and Lee did a write up of an attack on Jayrek’s stand describing what everyone was doing that just stopped short of a conclusion - on myths he positioned people vaguely based on the story then we were placed as monsters...

Showing my age, and a little generic, but pretty much the first encounter of any island, ever.
The feel of going over on the boat, all kitted up, and slowly seeing the horde of monsters come into view, eagerly waiting next to the dock is just unmatched for me as the best start to any dungeon, ever. More recently, the Bornheim special last xmas was amazing. 15 monsters, and we didn't make it out of the tavern for about an hour, just epic fights and absolutely battered. Nice "slow" start to what was a really memorable day. Cheers, Sean |

Council of Nine Guild Special.
"We need to read this Prayer of Revelation to transport to get to where we need to go" Stumbler "Oh.... I wouldn't do that." "Why not?" "Because this will take you, weaponless, to a Vampire prison where you will find yourself helpless." (The ref, Chris Cox, takes me to one side and asks "How can you know that!?" "Easy Chris. Last time you played Seraphin on the ICOB guild special I stole your notebook, copied down all the salient information, and put it back without you noticing." "Oh.....") |

Jez played his body so well he missed out on dinner! -------------------- Brett

We started a party on the beach at candlestone, they had been washed up after a ship wreck. Took 45 mins to walk out far enough to get a beach!

Escape from Gaol had us all start in cells. Had to scavenge weapons and stuff to get out.

As for funny starts.
Spider tribe special. Brief comes in and puts his weapon down. We do the deal and beezebrok hands him his weapon back. He shouts "he's got an Axe!" as the brief gets jumped and knifed by a Horde of goblins. -------------------- |
