So, mainly posting this because really just want something to look forward to playing!
Think a lot of people already know this is happening, but for those who don’t, if interested gives a chance to get pts apps in and come along. Was not my idea but it’s snowballed from a bit of a joke, and got a lot of people who’ve said they’re interested. So within a month or so of re-opening plan is to run a two party start up for two guilds, Sons and Daughters of Sirac (SADOS) and The Brood. One professional and one political. I’ll copy and paste the details at the end of this post, subject to any tweaks Lee recommends. I’ve got a separate two day overland planned (joint birthday special for Dunc and I) that needs to happen first so I can hit 30k before this, as am using my 30k gift for stuff tied in to this start up. A lot of the low level party will be new characters, with a variety of weird and wonderful offspring. Seems Sirac hasn’t been particularly discerning in spreading his magic far and wide! But yea, a number of non standard gold or ivory themed new race / class combos being started. Though will be a spread of character levels as existing PCs also involved. And there will be a high section (max 15k) with hopefully a whole bunch of apprentices. Richard Eden master reffing, waiting to confirm the second ref. And anyone up for crewing, would be great! Cheers, hope to see you all in a cave / on an overland soon! Sean Sons and Daughters of Sirac Not all are actual children of Sirac, though many in the guild are. When Sirac was first created he was commanded to go forth and spread his parents magic far and wide. He took this instruction quite…literally. But the guild is open to all who feel friendship or a family bond to Sirac, and all his apprentices. Guild ethos is to protect and empower the gold and/or ivory dragon and spread their magic far and wide. Families bicker, so a variety of outlooks definitely exist within the guild! Guild Restrictions To generally respect and not deliberately seek to harm any mana dragon. Mocking your opposite, and even fighting their followers with sufficient cause is fine, but deliberately seeking out and trying to harm any mana drake/dragon without very good cause can be grounds to be cast out. Entry Requirements Must be a gold and / or ivory mana user or creature to join, must be in the wizard bracket, but could be a gold drave brown wizard for example. The Brood Guild Ethos Not all are actual children of Sirac, though many in the guild are. When Sirac was first created he was commanded to be sure he left the world a better place than he found it. A mission he has found challenging on his own, especially given his low tolerance for politics. As such he seeks to share the load with those closest to him, be they friends or family. This is a sister guild to the Sons and Daughters of Sirac, but open to all who share Sirac’s desire to work within the laws of each land to improve life for the people of those lands. To improve the life of most who reside within the lands of Primus. Working within the current political structures and legal systems, but not averse to seeking to improve them where possible. Principal ethos is “To leave the world a better place than you found it” Guild Restrictions Anyone found to have knowingly placed their own self interest above the welfare of the land and it’s people will be cast out. It is acceptable to favour your own homeland, but when it would not cause conflict to your oaths and loyalties, you should endeavour to improve the lives of the people of all lands across Primus. Invariably complex situations arise, Sirac is more than familiar with those. The expectation is simply for people to do their best for the land and its peoples. Entry Requirements Evil may only join with guildmasters permission. Outlaws may only join / remain a member with guildmasters permission. |

So just as an update for this. Sunday 6th September is pencilled in as the start up for these guilds. Probably a 2 party overland at Dormansland, all being well.
First party be unbalanced and a lot of lowbies. Second party be either a max 15k with me advising or a normal no max. TBD. Richard Eden master reffing, he has a year long campaign planned out that sounds like it should be fun. Think Isteed might be co-reffing though not sure that’s confirmed for this date yet. Note the brood political guild opens the doors for a wide variety of characters. Think from what I know of the brief, when ready to publish, any friends or family of Sirac likely to be...interested. I’ve used my 30k gift towards stuff for these guilds, so likely to be quite invested in making them a fun set of guild dungeons for the next year and beyond. Cheers, Sean |

I have sent Lee an email to try to get round my issue of no political slot and not wizard bracket.
Hope all should be fine as I have blown the budget this time on kit for my Son of Sirac -------------------- Andy

Yea, dunc wanted to leave 5th sept free in case tomorrow had to be postponed. But he confirmed this week that this is good to go now, he will put it up for booking next time he has time for caves admin.
My only concern is whether is a bit close to extended lengths season, but hopefully be enough players interested. Will see when it’s up for booking! Think when the brief can go up will hopefully spark some interest. Cheers, Sean |

Ok, so as kinda expected, extended length season has meant been too hard to get 5th September sorted in time. And wouldnt be as good a guild start up as should be for last minute party to be thrown together and statted for, especially on the low section.
So this is now postponed until October 17th, no max section and unbalanced max 10k that it is expected to be mainly pre 1k. Joint start up for SADOS and The Brood. Planned to be start of a monthly guild campaign that should last a year. Caves dungeons, maybe 3L if nothing else booked that day. I've seen and agreed what looks like a fun brief, will be posted as soon as this goes up for booking. Definitely aiming to make it appeal to all levels, and for the newer members of the "family" to be every bit as important as those whove been around a while! There are quite a few new characters starting up for this, along with existing offspring already being played! And a very wide variety of flavours! And the brood deliberately opens the door for a lot of Sirac's friends, as will be quite important from what I've heard of the brief! And the final (for now!) guild write ups is as follows: Sons and Daughters of Sirac (PROFESSIONAL GUILD) Not all are actual children of Sirac, though many in the guild are. The Brood (POLITICAL GUILD) Guild Ethos Not all are actual children of Sirac, though many in the guild are. We seek to improve life for most of those who reside within the lands of Primus, and indeed other lands we travel to from time to time. Preference for working within the current political structures and legal systems, but not averse to seeking to improve them where possible. Principal ethos is “To leave the world a better place than you found it” Guild Restrictions It is acceptable to favour your own homeland, but when it would not cause conflict to your oaths and loyalties, you should endeavour to improve the lives of the people of all lands across Primus. The preceding post has the most up to date info about these guilds as has changed a bit from the OP.
They are now up for booking on Oct 17th. The plan is a year long campaign, hopefully with an adventure every month or so. The brief should come out soon, with more IC and OOC info about the campaign thereafter. Cheers, Sean |

Ok, so after last nights announcement and a good bit of reshuffling, we now have 3 dungeons running on October 17th.
All full currently, though a couple of people may have to drop out, so reserve spaces worth grabbing. We have a ref for the lows and a ref for the highs. But so far I've not been able to find a ref for the mids. Start of a year long campaign, so Rich has plenty of plot and stuff to share. So could either be ref just this as a one off or get involved with an ongoing campaign, either would be fantastic. The mids has a front line that are 4k, with support characters that average around 7k. Party list is Sam R, David F, Mark D, Chris G, Adam S and Rob S. Hugely appreciate if anyone could step up and ref for this, and of course happy for reciprocal reffing favours in the New Year. And as said elsewhere, crew also very welcome, loads of players booked on across the sections who do masses of reffing and crewing so good chance to repay some favours! Cheers, Sean |
