Brother Knights,
So I have waited to see if there was any reaction to Tangle's declaration of ownership of this artifact. And nothing in public anyway. For those who dont know, the axe is an artifact that the Church of St Michael worked for many missions to acquire. Which I was invited to aid for some of, given my history of standing against Ruin. And subsequent to this, many mercenaries and groups were involved in providing the forge, and seeing the axe re-made. It was intended that I would be present, along with Marlowe, of the church of St Michael, to oversee that the axe was kept safe. Unfortunately I was laid low, and was unable to attend. And I do not know how the axe came into the possession of Tangle. This weapon is, I believe, literally the only means of slaying Ruin's greatest minions. And is likely to be of utmost import in eventual victory over the forces of Ruin. So for it to be held by Tangle, with a requirement for its release that is impossible to meet, is somewhat...problematic. I am wary of making things worse with a direct contact, as I am unsure my plain speaking would serve well in any such negotiations. But I would very much encourage any who can see a solution, or who have any kind of...friendship or knowledge of how best to deal with Tangle, do so as a matter of urgency. I have never cared who eventually owns the axe, I have no interest in possessing it for the long term, I simply wish to see its Purpose fulfilled in protecting Primus and defeating Ruin. Impossible isn't a word I have much truck with. I can probably muster up around 50,000G maybe more if I liquidise some of my library once I make an inventory. Put me down for 100,000G. I have numerous times been keen to point out the self serving Goblin is a menace but every effort to do something about it has been buried. We are dealing with someone who seems to derail every hire he goes on and the only city to ever benefit from him having been there is Deci... he is a master manipulator and excellent at covering his tracks in terms of his own guilt in any given situation.
I suspect your only option is to cough up the money and then return it to him for a refund when you’re done, I am confident the axe is tucked up in his personal private pocket Plane where it will never be seen again unless he wants you to have it. Definitely quite the predicament... I can’t help but feel one that Primus’ most potent mercenaries have made for themselves though by continuously taking him with you on missions despite proving utterly untrustworthy Louis |

Ritz Knight Warmage Apologies if I mis-spoke. Impossible for most if not all individual mercenaries I know then. However, I could probably put together 200,000 grulls if that is our best option. I'm sure that the Shank & Honeyman cartel can find some funds to chip in.
If the Axe is legitimately the possession of Tangle then he has every right to ask for a deposit. It's not as if he's charging for it's use..... just compensation if it is not returned. Kurth. |

Good hussle Knights, that's what I like to see.
What are we protecting, our wallets or the Land? Louis, care to throw your wallet into the ring, I know you're good for it? We can't have Gimly bail us out all on his own. Ritz -------------------- Stevie Harper

He just makes some claim to an undefined personal sacrifice meaning it’s now his. But he has possession of the axe, and that is the problem. But as said, I was not at the muster where he laid claim to it. Maybe there is more I do not know. Sirac |

Although don't think I have ever met Tangle but if people are confident that he will return the money when the axe is returned then I am not to worried. Or if there is someone he would trust to act as a middle man and hold on to Grulls/axe untill both are returned then that could also work Gimly -------------------- Rich

No he is not, Radah killed the previous Deci city spirit which is an outlawable offence, Tangle just usurped the position from Radah before he could bed himself in the role.

Tangle is offering to sell the Axe but "Doesn't get out of bed for less that 1/2 a million".
Are we prepared to put in a bid at that price? On behalf of Shank & Honeyman Trading I'd throw 100K into the pot with no expectation of return. If more is needed I'd have to check our accounts. We don't want a nefarious group buying it and then holding Primus to ransom. Thoughts? Kurth. |

Just to confirm our private conversation, I do believe if we can scrape together the funds we should make sure we acquire this axe and make sure it is available as and when needed. And I remain willing to put all the funds I currently have available towards it, which amounts to 200,000 grulls. I would be willing to safeguard the axe but am currently unable to wield it. So would suggest maybe Gimli might be an even wiser choice. Sirac |

I have nothing to put in the pot, but I do believe that primus would suffer greatly if it is not our order that gains possession of this artifact.

I understand that the influence of Pep predominates our thoughts at this time. But are we going to pursue this? It will necessitate spending over a million grulls, and likely result in a bidding war. For me, it is worth all I have to put in the pot, but looks like it will need many others to dig deep. I just dont want the opportunity to pass us by without a decision being made either way. Sirac |
