Firstly sorry this isn't the most descriptive of posts.

Basically as The Fury i need to actually start getting tough. Which basically means i need to start multiracing. The main problem is im only in 1/2 orc base life which is only 64 tblp and just isn't enough.

Going Uruk Hai is an obvious solution. The only problem is that a lot of the stuff can be bought of the tables, although it does give me a rather nice rage and to get the usual 82 odd base life and mighty thews is gonna involve doing a 7th and 8th which is gonna be quite expensive and will be more of a long term plan.

I'm looking for peoples views on Uruk Hai and if it's really worth going. Does anyone know what sort of stuff is likely to be gotton in a 7th and 8th as i havn't actually seen anyone go through it.

Cheers
Dave

I think MCC has said in the past that the published multiraces are a bit weak as compared to what can be passed, so something tailored to the character will get you more and better options.

Also, I don't see Fury as an Uruk-hai somehow - he's a bit too cuddly :-) You will almost certainly be better off applying for some sort of 'Noble Orc' multirace that gives you the stuff you want instead.

He's like those evil teddy bears, that when you turn them inside out they have fangs and things...

Plus in my mind, the labby Uruk is just "fat orc"..

I know Carl (Ownsworth) had some nice 7th & 8th stuff for his Uruk'Hai. Might be worth having a chat to him.

Because they are all emcompassing you could end up with stuff which is not relevent to your character
a classic is the immunity to aging from Elder Fey - the answer is in making it relevent in the 7th/8th or using it as a prerequisite for something else - there is a lot of mileage in such a thing wink.gif

Its all down to planning - if you plan that your going Child of Pines then you factor certain things in as you develop

the other half to that is that is that the 7th /8th of published ones tend to be pretty good and buffed
In general I'd advocate people taking the published ones unless they have some very particular idea in mind and writing a defining 7/8

Uruk-Hai - at 440 works out at decent value if you work through what it gives you

Uruk-Hai - 440pts for a good clean base, then you can blow a thousand on a bespoke 7th and 8th if you want to!

That pretty much is the winning decision at the moment, can't really think of a whole multi race anyway.

People say standard M/R's are weak but as noted above "2nd Stage M/R's" added onto to published M/R's tend to be really rather good and allow you to personalise what you want while getting the flavour you might be after early.

I know I have one my own bespoke 7th & 8th followed by another M/C post X published M/R for Child of the Pines, Angel of War and Undead.

So go with the published M/R, throw in 7th&8th for the obvious life then get super orc tough (Blue Tabard, Yellow Shield with a Red "F" in the middle?) on another 1st-6th.

Think Carl's Lvl 7 & 8 made him an Olog-Hai or something like that

Nah think the current idea is to go Big Poppa Fury post Uruk. Maybe added to the res name.

I have without doubt the toughest multirace ever for my Orc, but it is 3000pts! so as I doubt I'll make it past 300pts i'll never buy it, feel free to ask to have a look at it next time i'm down the pit.

I think with that particular character you should be looking to personalise it a load more - everyone knows who The Fury is, there's the Cult of the Fury as well, something like Furious Orc ?

Or, 'each Primal deity has his equal and opposite, as there is the Empress so there is the Spiter.
As there is the Tranquil, so there must be . . . The Fury'

MR - Seething Cauldron of Primal Rage

Seems like a missed opportunity otherwise smile.gif

Or Uruk-Hai is good too

Giles.

Well i hear that this character is trying to destroy a lot of people anyway in heroes.

Cheers Rich will be more than happy to have a look at your multirace next time your down.
