Labyrinthe Forum _ General In-Character Chat _ Fall of Farrin D'Treal

Posted by: Gordon Oct 16 2020, 07:52 AM

It is with great regret that I must alert the family of Farrin D'Treal to his passing.

As a mage of Silver he was confident that death was in his future and that it had been Foretold with some agency.

Sadly the Foretelling was not as reality would assert itself.

Firstly he was was fatally ravaged by a lightning quick wolf in the Barony of Kasnia within not 10 minutes of beginning our agreed quest.

Secondly and more tragically finally he was laid low in the land of the Seven Winds by a poisonous explosion that resulted as an unliving Crol was laid to rest, the poison was so potent his fragile frame could not stand the ravages it laid upon his mortal form. More poignantly this occurred not long after we had broken camp after we had all hunkered down in the Far North to rest before we journeyed to Ishma.

After his death his consciousness was for a time bound to the form of a salamander that continued beside us keen to burn the world and enlighten people as he did so.

He was already making plans for a second life so I believe he has woven pacts to ensure he passes through the Tea House in good order.

I do hope to meet him again, he was eminently skilled with the Disruption spell and I hope his new form allows him to be fashionably late like the stories of famous heroes of the world and always get to a mission 15 minutes after everyone else has engaged with their first foe of the day.

Farin was a delight to travel with and it was with great sadness that he parted the small group of mercenaries that travelled this past Thursday.

His skill with red and silver magic matched his warm and insightful personality and I hope that this is not lost upon the turning of the wheel.

We were blessed that great powers intervened and that through the skill of the Druid Sata, the memories and thoughts of Farin were bound for a short time to a salamander such that he could still help us achieve our task that day.

You will be missed, and my thoughts are with his family who must sorrow at this difficult time. Farin’s funereal request was to have his body pushed out to sea on a boat, to have flaming arrows fired at it and over it such that they lit a new constellation in the sky to commemorate his life. My prayers will be to the lady that for perhaps 1 night the stars might see fit to take a new shape in mourning of this souls passing and in celebration of his life and sacrifice.

Wot those two said is on der money, he could pump out disruptions like the Holy Kow pumps out farts. Only odd fing about him was he did not want to eat any of my goat penises (and they were cooked and all). I hopes to meet 'im in anovver form before too long hopefully next time he will be a proper goremand
