We have another busy week coming up at the caves with Tuesday and Thursday dungeons plus on Saturday we have Eldritch down trading for all your new weapon needs and we have the draw of the grand raffle. Tickets are still on sale at the desk for £1 each or a strip for £5, all the prizes up for grabs are on display in the cabinet near the gauntlet machine.
The caves are closed on Sunday as its Christmas eve. On to the events: Tuesday Last Tuesday club of the year, a max 1500 being reffed by Giles with a wintery/Christmas theme. Is currently full on players with a waiting list but there is space for one more monster if someone else wants to book on. Thursday Thursday club is back again and currently has 3 players, an a-ref and a monster but is missing the all important ref! I know there are a few people out there who are also interested in getting involved if a ref can be found. Discussions could be had regarding level as well, so get in touch if you fancied reffing. Saturday New Player low level dungeon – We have a few new players coming to try out the caves on this dungeon reffed by Rich G. It currently has 7 players and 1 monster, so could do with an a-ref and some monsters to give them a good experience. Existing players should also feel free to start new characters on the dungeon as well Max 4k – Currently just 3 players booked, needs a ref and some crew to make sure this runs, as well as more players Max 750 Front Line GS/Themed – This was an open max 750 but in an attempt to get a Frontline Guild Special in before the year end it has been changed to a guild themed or dungeon, depending on numbers. People should feel free to stay as their non guild members on it though. Is being reffed by Will P and has a full crew Young Players – Being reffed by Rich E and Paul D, it currently has 12 players and 3 monsters for the afternoon and 9 players for the morning, so looking busy. Make sure you book on if you want to be involved as you may not just be able to turn up on the day Further Ahead I keep mentioning but the Final Dawn event is the 28th-30th December, we are still needing monsters so please email Duncan if you want to book on to crew! Its likely there will be no Tuesday club on the 2nd January (unless people are particularly keen) but will start back up on the 16th Jan and then run every other week through the year. We will be sticking to the sub 1500 level, and are always keen for new people to ref. The card machine had stopped working over the weekend, there is no guarantee it will be working again by the weekend, so please bring cash if possible, and keep an eye out for an update from Duncan on the situation. Please also settle up any debts you over from this weekend via bank transfer! Rumours and Gossip A slightly less glamorous point to start off with... please do not flush the paper towels down the toilets. They causes blockages in the system that are unpleasant for the desk staff or Duncan to have to deal with. They also risk damaging the pump that has to get the waste water up and in to the main sewer at ground level. Not pleasant for anyone, and expensive to repair. As some of you may have noticed the armoury weapons are starting to look depleted and number and those that remain a bit worse for wear. There is a plan for next year to take Lee up on his statement of “I can make a 100 gaffer weapons in a day” but in the mean time we are after some of your old weapons that can be repaired with gaffer tape to live out the last of their days in the armoury, rather then in your garages or sheds. If you have old latex weapons that you don’t use as they have tipped, latex pealing off or similar where the foam is fine but you no longer use them, then we would be interested in them. If you bring them to the caves on Saturday 30th December when I am on the desk then we will pay you 50-100 monster points for each weapon depending on the quality of it. These will then help to restock the armoury for a while. -------------------- Rich

Tomorrow's dungeon currently only has 3 players, although does have an a-ref and 2 monsters booked. Ed H is up for reffing something although would need a dungeon sending to him, if people are keen to play. Possibly a max 3k? It sort of needs the players to take the lead on making this happen, and preferably ASAP.
Also, and importantly for Saturday: The cafe is closed I imagine some might look to organise a chip shop run at lunch, but does mean no breakfasts in the morning. Saturday's max 4k has been cancelled due to lack of ref and players, there is still space on the low level dungeon, which also needs an a-ref. As a reminder, the grand raffle draw is taking place Saturday probably between 5 & 6pm, so still a chance to buy tickets. -------------------- Rich
