Just a quick post before I fall unconscious to say thanks very much indeed to Lee, Tiff and all the monster crew for an excellent and challenging 3 day. I must admit that I came into it a bit grumpy and stressed and was worried about whether I would enjoy it - that seems silly now. It was great fun, action packed, had all the usual excellent party interaction (with the added edge of barely supressed terror!) and I had a great time. This is despite the fact that I am now one giant walking bruise.
Favourite bits? Loads, but the ones that leap to mind: - Taking over 900 TBLP from cause crits before the time I normally get out of bed. - Watching Lee and Tiffer literally crying with laughter during Plan Ultimate Burglary. - Taking probably the most damage while still standing up and fighting of anyone ever. "Hmm, wrath of the lord each time? I reckon I've hit Christian about 2000 times. And these undead are hitting me the whole time, too. Oh dear." - Almost defeating the essence of the God of Wrestling and his puny sidekick. - The usual excellent, understated but meaningful roleplay with Falorn, which is really becoming one of my favourite aspects of the LoTs campaign. - Being able to do a few things 'off dungeon', rather than being restricted by the usual "that character isn't on dungeon, so they don't exist in the gameworld" dictum. - Explaining to Carlo why I had fallen unconscious and then watching him fall unconscious too as he realised the same thing had happened to him. Yes, huge thanks to the refs and all the monsters (many more than we were expecting, which was exciting!). Had a super 3 days, as always - feels like the LotS 3 days have become the new Myths (so someone book next September's one, quick) The player interaction was great too so thanks to all the party.
Many high points, a few below - The wrestling, the wrestling masks (bad Giles), the wrestling banter and oh dear the wrestling names. Tanis - "can I be the Governator?" Iggy - "I am happy to wrestle under the name Ultimate Burglar". The morning Slaugh (sp?) attack and trying to kill 2 things doing 7 at once as a healing priest. Bradley's failure to distinguish between a tree and an undead, even with the benefit of spiritsight "erm, we made Nessa a lady wrestler" Emo discussions with Iggy about Vana and many other things, getting to res the Valar. "What do the Bearers of the Weeping Chalice do?" Chatting to the NPC LotS priests, who all, of course, had one faith each. The really cool prop for Celain's picture The lengthy end fight and Iggy's lone stand against, well, pretty much everything, the massacre in the doorway and the death of Bradley. Plan IGGY - Matt's face when the pom poms were produced was priceless and well worth the year in the planning. Lots of other good times, hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did. Christine |

Was a great 3 day with many great moments.
Watching Matt slowly die of exhustion Many talks with Jericho Team Panic moaning on how Team Danger always took so long Trying not to get sucked into Falorn's twisted view of the world Now off to try and find a pair of hands to replace my battered ones Miles -------------------- The game is not always about balance
Apply rule 7 and don't overthink it. |

Ah no they were different people, called Barry & Scott. Barry Panic & Scott Danger were two other people on the myths the next week played by Cotter & Covo...

Huge thanks to Lee & Tiffer for a great 3 day, and of course Ryan, Pete W, James Isteed, Rhiannon, James Covington Matt Jenkins and Rebecca. Despite pre event anghst - went really well and was loads of fun. Really liked the clever use of the site (given the limited space), the timings - ie. what we needed to do depending on how late in the day it was. Monsters were all awesome and the party dynamic was fab as usual.
Particular highlights for me: - Everyone's descriptions of Valar - some cool, some funny but fleshed out (for me) what had just been names in that book which isn't the Hobbit or Lord of the Rings. - The LotS 'quiz' in the Rite - correct the answers - Taking down 'The Ultimate Burglar' with the new god formerly of wrestling - Bradley, Light and Ignatious' one last 'job' stealing a sycophant, daft yet given the events of the day after quite poignant - The horror fight with the Slaugh - Project Iggy coming to fruition - Ignatious' hour long Final Stand - The Tomarvelous Wordo aka Nostalgia - a hero of/from the Second Age - Enigmacity - Bearers of the Weeping Triple - Conversations on matters theological and of the heart with Ignatious and probably quite a few more. Cheers all Giles. |

Just to add my thanks.
Lee and Tiffer, Rebecca, Matt, James C, James I, Rhi, Pete W and Ryan for a genuinely terrifying weekend. Huge fights, great puzzles and cool role plays. I am still aching today having spent so much time running away. Thanks again Andy |

Yeah big thanks to everyone! Was truly terrified throughout. Still not quite sure how we really survived that end fight!
Really hope this becomes a regular yearly thing! See you all again! Martin |

"Still not quite sure how we really survived that end fight!"
I just cheated. If the lie is big enough, no one will see through it..... Matt P.S. I worked out that I took at least 75,000 TBLP in the end encounter. Seeing no way to ever top that, I may just retire. P.P.S. It's probably not a good sign for my legal career that, on the first day of term, I spent the time in my lecture to calculate how much TBLP I took. Worrying. |

Would like to add my thanks to a fantastic 3 days... it was a well thought out plot - brutal, scary and fun in equal measure. Much thanks have to go to our monster hoard, who were all tireless and fantastic - and you all seemed very willing to be blown up from afar (again, and again, and again...).
personal best moment was the three cursing specialists who were cursing each other in turn to only die by a specific method... 1st one 'I curse you to die by an axe', 2nd one 'I curse you to die by earth magic' and the 3rd 'I curse you to die by the bow' - at least our archer looked pleased, even if the monster didnt... huge hilarity as the Matt started saying thiings like 'you must hate me... what have you done... ' Phil. |

My thanks are elsewhere, but as a personal favourite moment, Falorn coming out with 'I have no concept of a proportional response' will live with me for ever
And as for 'Boris and Dorris'........... Kev. |

Ah yes.... cursed to die by the Bow.... and I had an axe as well. We took possibly the perfect group for that section completely by accident. It was awesome.
Brilliant time, great Crew, wonderful players. Thanks to all involved. Tim. |
