So 5 years later I've realised that I still haven't actually got rid of these.

Ideally I'd like to sell them as a job lot (or at least in a large group) rather than in bits and pieces and to a good home where they will see some action rather than living in a selection of shoe boxes..

PM me if you are interested.

Did you get an offer to take these Richard?

I realise books take years to grow in special bushes, but has the new crop arrived yet?

I too am panicking slightly as i have 9.950k of druid to sort out ready for Rob's 2 day in a fortnight and i haven't played in nearly 2 years!

I'm guessing buying a PDF printout watermarked with JAN ONLY is out of the question?

Hi Chris,

Jan here, drop me a PM on the forum with an email address and I'll get back to you, don't post it on the boards themselves as sometimes bots copy your address.

Are you Chris Hart?

Hmmm, the point of the Primal Times was to make a point of having a global campaign through the CC. Without it CPs just become another type of item points, without heritage.

In days gone by if it is public council run/ owned land then you need to get permission from the local authority first. That may have changed but it probably hasn't.

That hasn't changed.

I will be giving three latex weapons away to the three monsters who book and crew for the day. Arthritis means they aren't much use to me any more.

Congratulations Serin, a job well done. You of course have my complete support, I will even waive the need to pay me a cut from your 'takings' as I have little use for grulls nowadays. I will continue my role as Elder of the Faith, First Truthspeaker and Master of the Halgar Temple.

Relic, welcome back, it is good to see you again. I have those robes I owe you.

Barab, I am very pleased you will be joining the church on these up and coming missions, I look forward to receiving your leadership in this. It's been too long since we have been able to chat my friend

Serin, worry not about Barab's playful threats of excommunication, Barab means well and is pleased that you are building our church in stature. As am I.

AH BOO!!! Sigurd flavoured slow healing is my favourite too! :-(

Well, you could come for the morning, and we could finish the adventure by lunchtime if you kill everything really really quickly? Admittedly this restricts the benefit of slow heal though...

Character classes were designed with a role to perform (at least one), and some reason to be different from the other classes.

The intention was each class should have an area it is good at, and another where it is weaker, and that by groups of characters working together *efficiently* the party becomes greater than the sum of it's parts.

Some classes have very narrow remits, and this can make them generally weaker, but the very nature of their capability can also make them attractive to play to those who would like to be the master of that narrow range.

'Balance' here is in the meta, not the singular.

QUOTE(sonof @ Aug 16 2013, 12:01 PM) *
Easily the best specialist and quickest to do is healing priest.
20 - disc ass
10 - rebirth
40 - discern remaining daily innates when you get to the table.
40 - major healing (then get the miracles via scriptures)
80 - devotion to the tree
50 - 1 to tod (because)
35 - 6 casting stamina so you avoid taking real life.
1040 - eight times round the healing tree
80 - once upto total heal.

Even you leaves a few points for more spirits, or rite of the bright god if you can't get a scripture of it.

This bemuses me. Kindle books are just MS Word saved in HTML, I have produced quite a few now (my father self publishes poetry) and it really is just a question of using a basic style layout and then hitting save.

Agreed.

Huw

Whilst i respect Huw's thoughts on this, I believe three things have kept Labyrinthe running for over 25 years and I'd like to share them with you.

(1) an adventure site which is basically perfect for LRP and out of the weather and available all year round with good transport.
(2) at any one time core 'owning' team which has been able to make the business decisions which have kept it running for almost 3 decades.
(3) and a traditional fantasy core rule system with the quorum of basic classes (fighter, thief, cleric and magic user) basic social groupings to grant a common purpose(alignment) and a traditional heroes for hire adventure approach.

(1) is obvious; (2) gets us past death by clique committee which assails so many clubs eventually; and (3) means that the game can be trusted to be playable year in year out, characters retain their value and distinctiveness, and that the game does not have to reinvent itself every so often when the game morphs too far to make play practical any more.

Ironically, playing Huw's druid campaign really brought home item 3 to me a few years back, cheers Huw smile.gif (awesome campaign too!)

Unfortunately this isn't a democracy, and the views of the player base, however sensible, are not taken into account.

That's because there are no single 'player base' set of views, and the game system needs to maintain its core identity for another 25 + years.

Democracy is over rated, especially when governance is taken from the hands of the knowledgeable and placed in the hands of the consumers.

Though Christine has pointed out that 'ladies in the club' means something else. Still, another night of lonely onanism for David Stotesbury. Gods bless the internet.
