Shortly after the turmoil at the dawn a huge earthquake is felt rumbling through the Northern Dales. The epicentre, thought to be beneath the ruins of the Glorianave city of Taltasir are felt as far south as the Wandering Moth Inn and as far east as the Certain Death Inn. Rumours abound of a pair of giants clambering out of the collapsed hillside around Taltasir and marching off through the night, but no sightings are certain and the source of the quake is shrouded in mystery.
Groups from both the Crooked Knife and Stoic Hammer archaelogical and exploratory groups are seen entering the ruins of Taltasir both at the surface and near a newly exposed lower entrance. Two and a half weeks later a few battered survivors of some sort of horrific event within the ruins are seen running out having been rescued by the heroes of the Dales, Theo, Tai and their friends. Some speak of horrid mutations, their fellows being butchered infront of them and rising again as twisted undead monstrocities with crab like claws and goat like legs. Others speak of a dark man of blood and unhallowed words that broke their will and turned them into his unwilling puppets. Of the heroes themselves, what exactly happened within Taltasir appears to be being kept, if not secret, at least out of general circulation. Rumours speak of the sparks of ancient totemic spirits, bound and stripped of their names by the deceased Stynmort regaining their power and knowledge at the dawn. Some good, some bad, some indifferent, what they might bring to the Dales in the future is anyone's guess. More interestingly, half way through the afternoon, with a great out pouring of power the old Magiocral city of Taltasir is somehow mystically restored. A shining fortress stands atop the crumbled hillside and we would guess similarly intact chambers beneath. The cause of this remains a mystery to most, though there is more than a little chatter about great riches and plunder within. -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
