Good afternoon Hive Mind
I have the 2016 wizard's grimoire and other books. It looks like spirit comms have some nice extra miracles of comm 4, 5 and 6. Has there been any upgrade to the poor old first class bracket locked silver wizard? Does anyone have anything that they would like to share? (or just funky fisher related considerations? :-)) many thanks Andrew |

I have silver comm 3, 4 and 5 and they’re pretty mana expensive, but worth it.
Apart from that, just work out what you want to know, making sure not to be an [----] about it. Eavesdropping on other player’s comms is generally bad form and around a 7/10 on the arsehat scale. Contingencies are good glyphs (if that happens, then this happens). I like having a ref-triggered one I can charge up so they can tell me stuff when they want to. If the ref abuses it you just don’t recharge it. Plot comms are the best. Any excuse to get the really interesting juicy history out of the ref’s imagination. And generally they’re quite cheap too. Something to do with your mana when the dungeon is just N-1 orcs, 1 orc captain all day. Grant other people damage grades if they’ve fought the same encounter more than twice that day already, perhaps? |

I have often been tempted to develop a silver mage, and like the question.
Stuart has covered the subject well, so an embellishment: What can you do in the ‘dual colour’ space? Brown/Silver would offer insight on constructs and construction, Blue/Silver offers buffs to transportation (foresight of destinations to be able to adapt where you teleport, as a simple starter), Red/Silver offers target prediction (through MAC) options perhaps, White/Silver for scrying and visions or dream-based options, Gold/Silver for precognitive party one-off resistances and triggered shields, etc. It is fun to pick a really distinct niche and ‘go for it’... Unfortunately it seems obvious there cannot be any Bronze/Silver options, in case anyone is Fisher-ing ...!?!! |

For my silver wizard I have just applied for
- visionary as a glyph on next question or spell (does not count as a spell for purposes of expertise.) - steal knowledge (turn target into brute) - silver Comm 3 4 and 5 Silver power ups are next. From how do it do this to granting x to target (thru, predicated, blind fighting etc.) Ultimately though it’s probably about your second colour and accept silver is super useful but somewhat of a one trick pony David |

I think there's probably room for silver based power ups - there's already Silver Counter and Contra mastery spells - boosts to the abilities as spells? Possibly even further and spells to learn levels of multiclasses - if its something you could learn? Possibly a Matrix style 'I know kung-fu' etc. type of character
I started a silver power master with some of these ideas in mind (so you know it's doomed ) Giles. |

I have silver spells that tap in to the matrix. One of my silver spells literally is called tap into the matrix. You can use silver to pretty much cast/do anything with in reason. I have done really well out of it. -------------------- Radah of Michael - scout/psychic/wizard/priest /warrior 80,000 pts
