The faith or organisation known as the Callers of the Frozen Lords is with immediate effect censured and proscribed. Those members of this group are no longer welcome in the Empire and are considered ostracised. It would be timely to remind mercenaries that providing any assistance to members of a proscribed faith or organisation is a felony.
In the absence of a Lord Inquisitor, this decision has been ratified by the Covenant. The group represent on ongoing threat to the supernatural stability of Primus. They seek to use our favored position within the Exostance to establish a beachhead to wage war on other undead factions within the Netherworld. This would, without doubt, draw more conflict here and use put the good people of the Empire at risk. Furthermore, they have acted directly against the Empire by seeking to subvert and draw power from the Nightsoil rituals within the city of Thimon that sustain the lives of many of our citizens. In order to combat this threat the Inquistion seeks to hire mercenaries this Starsday to complete the following tasks: 1) Collect a ritual from the crypt of Francis Hollands (a priest of Humakt). This ritual prevents their undead transporting away once they have shifted in to attack. The crypt has drifted into the Nacht from its previous location in the Bildteve Fens. 2) Travel to Wraithree, scrying reveals that the Callers of the Frozen Lords have interests in this area which will likely be detrimental to the Empire. Members of the group may currently be present. Any interested mercenaries should make their way to The Golden Ghoul, Bildteve Fens during the standard hiring window. Standard potion costs will be paid for by my department. Regards Apathy Spiratus |

If this could be given to me once it has been used for what you need it for and the location of the temple if it is returned or not it would be appreciated. My thanks Lithmore High Priest of Mortai |

Good afternoon.
I shall be along to help as best as I can. I will make some potions of healing to pass about if any other mercenaries will benefit from them. Solomon |

Well I would like to say it was a pleasure to travel with you all for the day. It was dangerous but we'll worth the risk. I just hope that these frozen lords don't win.
In friendship Solomon |

Lithmore
As a courtesy, I'll share what happened with you. We travelled through the Nacht along a dangerous path to the tomb. There was a lot of mist and lots of misty creatures that tried to kill us. When we arrived at the tomb, the entry was a solid stone door with lots of carvings. To get in, we needed to translate a lot of runes and cast appropriate miracles like bless and dismiss mummy and so forth - all the while being assaulted. Once inside, we found 2 angels that were "reasonable" even though it turned out 2 of our number were dark of soul. They shared that the tomb had been cursed such that all the 60+ priests buried there would rise as undead should the ritual be taken. It was basically holding them all in slumber, protecting them. They also shared that the arch-angel guardian was less reasonable and would likely attack us and our dark hearted fellows. We did some thinking and decided to destroy all the priest's bodies so only spectral undead would rise and negotiate with the mad angel. We opened the tomb, summoning the angel and after a nice chat, it agreed we could take the paperwork and ritual but only if we agreed to kill all the undead that rose. The undead were few in numbers because many were thwarted by a lack of corpses to inhabit but really tough. After defeating these, we left the tomb and headed back through the nacht to Primus. We didn't get the tomb back to Primus and we need the ritual to defeat some awful undead and so I ain't expecting any cash but I did want to let you know what happened Might be you want to go and bring it back to Primus at some point Asgrimm |

Can I say it was enjoyable to travel with you all, and a really pleasant surprise to not simply throw vitae away needlessly on achieving little. It might not have been the most heroic approach, but I feel assaulting their fortress in the netherworld will be much more likely to succeed with more priests available.

Isaac ...but we didn't run away. Well, when I say we... I mean there was point most people had run away and the few remaining decided we go and look for them (clearly not running away). Then later, we just got to a point and stopped which is fine still not running away. I'm hiring Onyx mages to repeatedly cast bad spells at me that take away my nimbleness until it don't work any more (which means next time it will be withers...) See you in a few weeks Asgrimm |
