Ok, I have a couple of unrelated questions -

1: Has anybody taken their elf the opposite way of upgrading to fully immune to flesh and blood and instead become fully flesh and blood? How did it work? How do people think it would work?

2: Has anybody got some ideas on how to achieve +1 max ac or possibly +2 max ac? Currently in max ac 10 as my Rogue after buying all available on the tables to me. I can't multi-class warrior as already in 2 brackets and I was considering multi-classing Thug except it just doesn't seem to actually give me much.

Cheers,
Stacey

1. Yes, its been done Elven Druid types, I think that there may be a new ability in the new books to acheive somethign along those lines

2. I have as Anath an upgrade to the Scout Potion ability that means AC granted from potions increases Max AC now applies to AC granted from spells (system Max still 12) so Plate's would grant +5 Max AC, affirms +1 Max AC. Not a permanent solution but a good starting point. Standarly that ability means Hyperaction Potion which grant +4 DAC grant +4 MAx AC for an hour.

Regarding Max AC make a non-standard scout "combat wary" MC?

Or a "combat wary" tendency?

(Bully Boy gives better base Max AC but is linked to going Warrior.)

Points App "My elven affirms now grant +1 Max AC to max 12"?

The easiest way to do this would to be to put it in an appropriate multirace - there are several standard M/Races that I think could trivially be used for justification of it - e.g. High Elf, Elder Fae.

Why do you want this? That would help to suggest other options.

GSMs have varied somewhat on max ac to 12 for non-warrior types; I'm not sure what Lee's view is on it. Again it's important to know why you want it - to me I wouldn't expect rogues to be getting hit enough for another 2 AC to make much of a difference (especially compared to getting better Combat Wary and other damage reductions).

Don't think you can standardly multiclass thug, think its human
and half Orc. So maybe add a post 6th buy more max AC increases?
"It's hard enough as an Elf I need all the AC I can get" think
You can buy +1max AC in MC armour if you haven't
applied that already? I've got use to the fact my elf scout has
got bad health and bad AC. Stay standard Elf, more interesting
as I recon there a lot more multi-raced elves than there are full elves.

You can - Multi Race is one route but I suspect for the same reason BBB has suggested you would get a one line of it pre-newbooks (or wait).

Max AC needs a multiclass in my experience... something around being more of a fighty scout than you are already as a rogue... Or a tendency maybe that lets you buy increases as warrior... as well as some other weak warrior flavour stuff!

I got more Max AC very easily post Tinker back under Bruno - base Max AC 9 in m/c armour and +2 Max AC in m/c - post tinkering armour.

Thanks for the input.

One reason for thinking about going fully flesh and blood is that it's just easier to get a heal without having to get my affirms to heal instead. Yes it'll mean I can then get hurt as well but hey, vulnerabilities make it fun right? smile.gif
Secondly, role play. Druids are held in very high regard in the North so from a role play pov, why wouldn't I want them to be able to effect me?
Was mainly interested to see how people would think it would work and if it would be worth it.

For the max ac bit - good idea about the affirms. I was thinking of points apping an 'Ice Skin' that works as per rock skin. Mainly wanted the extra ac so I could be more involved in the fights without having to worry too much about hiding behind someone else. I'm not using my wizardly skills for get outs; it's not my character at all - I want to be able to survive long enough that I don't have to take blink as one of my specialist slots.

What you should actually probably do is just scream and run like you did when our undead got their candles blown out laugh.gif not quite as funny as Hatchy hiding in the corner [----]ing himself but still good for a laugh for the monsters!

Blink will always be valuable no matter your AC (especially, IIRC, Mustrum's Instantaneous Blink) but it is a lot of mana for a rogue to end up doing less for the party effort.

By the way it may not suit your particular character but you can get +2 Max AC just from KOTL if you join Knights of the "nutters who never run away" Watch. (+3 to the front with a magical or wooden shield.)
