Greetings Brother Knights.
It has been brought to me that whilst defending a plane known as Sothak, a Knight of the Land, namely Captain Laneroy Storm may have acted in a manner unbecoming a Knight of the Land, further more he may have brought our order into disrepute, there is also talk of abandoning brother knights. I would at this time like to hear from knights present on Sothak, in addition to knights who may have travelled there with Captain Storm prior to this extended campaign upon the plane. Captain Laneroy Storm, I would ask you to field your side of events to me swiftly. For those of you who do not know me I am a creation of War, so I would suggest keeping your reports short and to the point. Castiel Lord Unity. |

Due to earlier cock-up, Lannery had been held by an unholy word that had been shouted at the wrong time by Aythor. This froze Lannery up in the air and almost certainly contributed to the deaths of 3 of our party during that fight. Which I then had to rez! Which I hate doing.
After the mission was completed we had gathered together for Lannery to shift us all home. Except when he finished his casting only he and Aythor were shifted. After some brouhaha, during which I wasn't paying attention due to exhaustion, Aythor re-appeared, absolutely drenched. He stated that Lannery had shifted them under water and then shifted himself off again. I don't think he abandoned us. He knew full well that Ritz had a flying carpet with him that could, and did, bring us all safely home. However, I do feel that the attack, if that's what it was, was a cowardly one. Lannery has proven himself to be a capable fighter and caster. Using shifting us all home as a pretense to "off" Aythor is...wrong. Other than this incident Lannery proved himself to be a worthy Knight, however, and I would happily stand by his side again. Brother Tubbs Friar of Border -------------------- Nibs

It is true that at the end of a mission on Sothek Lannary offered to teleport us all back to Primus but instead only he and Aythor disappeared and then when Milenko summoned Aythor back Aythor was choking on water, and Lannary did not return. Aythor was not a Knight of the Land.
The incident in question happened after all threats and dangers had been dealt with and, though we were on Sothek and not on Primus, we were in a place of undoubted safety. Those of us who were present discussed whether Lannary had abandoned us and there was general agreement that he had not, as all threats had passed and we were in a place of safety. I do not wish to pursue any grievance against him. It seems that Lannary's actions against Aythor were furtive and duplicitous, but whether his true intention was to kill it would presumably be impossible to prove without Lannary's confession. Moreover Lannary had acted with valiance and wisdom and had provided leadership during the mission up to that point and generally speaking had shown himself to be a credit to the Knights and I would be happy to put my life in his hands again. I assume Lannary felt seriously provoked and had not had a chance to calm down. I have given a more detailed statement publicly in relation to the magistrate's investigation in the unlikely event that you want more detail.
