Of Impossible Dreams
--------------------
For the first time in many months, Iristran, Herald of the Impossible Dream, has been seen walking amongst the people of Crumbledown Crags, Cradletown and villages all around the Highlands and further afield. Some great weight appeared to have been lifted from his shoulders and while it is clear memories of the past still haunt him, people were glad to see him out and about once more. He spent a great deal of effort making time to speak to everyone, particularly those most downtrodden and with little hope for the future. "What was once impossible, no matter how unlikely, no matter how hard, no matter how distant; these things can come true; more, we should strive to ensure that they do come true. Dream and forge for yourself and for others the reality of those dreams".

Further afield he was seen walking through the village of Oak's Fall with the angel Reason. Accompanying them was a wide eyed orphan boy who seemed unable to stop staring at the angel. Where they walked a calm settled on a countryside that had suffered much from plague this deathly season.

In the far south, he was seen with members of the Church of Mortai, where a terrible Hagarath curse was lifted from an innocent man, turned involuntarily to murder.

In the deserts south of the Ban'Mir, eyes scrumpled at the blinding light of the sun, lifelong slaves of the Athfanal walked free behind him.

Conflict in the Far North
-------------------------
The ageless cycle of ritual conflict between Gaemridh, The Heart of Winter and Creduin, The Summer Sun, has begun once again. Great blizzards rip through the landscape as the start of true winter in the high north begins once more and Gaemridh rises to the ascendency. In the underground settlement of Eagna, a city well known for its keeping of stories, memories and tradition, another battle took place this Starsday gone. Unbeknown to its numerous but widely spread populous the spirit of that place had been usurped by one called Ulchabhan, the Owl of Knowledge, a recently arrived and most potent spirit. This spirit it seems sought to take not only the city but the north itself and the mantle of High King, whatever that may be (we, certainly are unsure, though it seems unlikely to have boded well).

Thankfully, the noble Victor Somas and his worthy allies raced to save the day, defeating this usurper, who they had it would seem long tracked and contended with. By all accounts he was eventually brought low not by a southerner, of a man of Empire, but by one of the north itself, a frozen tiger by the name of Snow. It seems like a fitting end to us.

When we tracked down lord Somas to speak of the matter he explained that this usurper was one fragment of an evil spirit which they had sought to redeem. This, we understand, was the evil residue discarded by the goodly; a power that had long tormented the world and is now no more. Its name, Allockra.

Mass Murder!
------------
Information is hazy, but it would seem to appear that a large number of mercenaries killed each other during the assault on Allockra within Eagna in the north. We know scant more unfortunately but we hope the matter is sorted out swiftly and that all the gory details eventually come to light. No doubt this is something that you, dear reader, would love to hear more on. At present though, nobody has come forward to speak up. We suspect at least someone is eyeing up the many 5,000g rewards at stake and keeping quiet until they collect.

Lizard Men! What Next?!
-----------------------
Apparently the Highlands is being invaded by poisonous lizard men, so the rumours say. We think this is a somewhat fanciful rumour. Clearly it's too cold and they'd just be eaten by the ghouls.
