Mason replies to Gorim "My research has shown that the Reverend Mellington is the leader of the cult of flowers, the cult want revenge on mercenaries who stole their potion ideas. The aims of the Council of Mixers are shielded so I can't tell if they mean harm to the empire/mercenaries."

Gorim returns to his rooms after taking a long walk on the streets bellow. In his hand is a parchment letter.

“Had some questions that needed answering. Put quill to paper and asked the old fashioned way. Seems i dont have much luck with this talking to gods thingy. Much better with my hammer, than with words. Dont think Moradin would have it any other way. Still take a look and let me know what you think?”

The dwarf lays the parcment on the table next to all the other papers there. Pouring himself a tankard he looks to the assembled company. 'The Crimson Company' he joked to himself .......hmmmm that might fit after all we'er always covered in blood. Wonder
how they would take to it? “Lets talk of our up and comming mission. Check our provisions and make sure we're ready.”

THE PARCHMENT READS.

Good Day Master Lothorsson,

I apologise for the delay in response, it has been a very busy week for me and yes it has been a prosperous one, many thanks. Gregory was fine whilst in my care, but we found some fair folk to look after him in the long term, I believe they live in the Halgar area. I am hoping the issues with the Demons there aren't a problem for them, but I am sure they are fine.
After reviewing the findings you brought to me, as well as the limited samples you provided, I have come to the conclusion that this "mixture" is infact a cleverly twisted potion, similar to a wooden horse and I would require a potionmaker of some skill to determine this on casual observation. However I would require more of the basic ingredients involved in the process of manufacture to unravel this potions mystery. If you can get more information on what i "in" this, we can begin in ernest.
Lord Winterhaven was in good health, or at least as good health as when you dropped him in my lap. He was insistent on getting home, but I suggested that he visit with family first so they could get him safely home, him living in the Halgar area also, demons and all. I heard the terrible news story, I do hope he is well.
I hope the potions we have been supplying you are up to your standards and I wish you well in your investigations

QUOTE(Cildan @ Apr 21 2015, 06:58 PM) *
*Mason pouring over the collected notes get a thoughtful look on his face-

"I will question the gods about this Rev Mellington, he seems to be some kind of friend to Gregory, the absent minded alchemist we met. I will also ask about this ingredient that seems to come from Ishma that Gregory is putting into the potions"

*He then begins to intone "All Seeing, All Knowing Spirits whose powers are Mighty..."

monty enters the room looks like he has just had the s//t beaten out of him. he move over to the priest and ask . when you are called back to life . do you have a bloo// odd taste in your gob. and you can not sleep. ?
do you know what it is herb , blood or flower that is coming in from ishma ?.

"Where you been that has you in such a mess?"

*Mason slides back a bit so Monty isn't invading his personal space* "Monty, the Ishmaic ingredient is called Worm Vestige. As for your other questions I don't think it's normal to have blood in your mouth after being Restored or having problems sleeping.". *looks seriously at Monty and to see if he is hurt and will heal if needed*

Gorim looks Monty over "You look like death warmed up........Something you want to share? " the Dwarfs knuckles go white as he grips his hammer hanging from his belt.

molly and myself went toe to toe with a group of water demons. i got by spell after spell and fell at that point. a troll and goblin who was with us took me to a local witch who called me back.
now 4 days after the calling i hear voices, saty up most of the night with a hunger. but the more i eat the worst the hunger. was just wandering if this was what happened when you are called back. by the way molly also fell. but have no idea where her body went as i moved it out of the hole and back to the inn.
thats all was near selliville i think . can not remeber much. i think it was near to where we found the drow but not so sure.

(not blessed curesed sp mastered , no undead spirit pressent)

"Well, Monty from what I can tell, your spirit has been placed under the control of another, that might be the source of the hunger you are feeling. I think Loric might be able to remove it if necessary." Mason replies

*A chill crept up Loric's spine. What was happening here? Since that incident in the graveyard, it had been demonic event, one after the other. Was he cursed? The elders had told him that the demon of betrayal had left him, but had it?*

'My prayers cannot find any malign spirit surrounding you, Monty. This however, does not bode well. Perhaps those of you affected should pray, or perhaps visit a place of faith, with myself, Mason or Gorim. I must say, this extreme show of force by the forces beyond our world is disturbing to me. I am not educated in the way of the demon, but they appear to have a vested interest in our affairs, or so it seems.

I offer you simply this. The gods of this Exostance, are watching. They observe and weave the fabric of reality around us. Molly, herself, a mage, when faced with this supernatural evil, turned not to those within the schools of magery, but instead to St. Michael and strangely enough, in the lands of Ishma. Ask youself this, why? With that knowledge in your heart, know that the vitae within you, is of import. Where that leads, I cannot tell you, but with that knowledge alone, you can walk on your path with resolution. The question is, do you believe in that you revere?'

Molly looks up from the corner she's been skulking silently in since the beginning of the conversation.

"See how I am? Nice to know somebody cares. It's a little late for that however." She pauses for a moment, as if mulling something over, before continuing.

"Loric, you really should stop making assumptions. I didn't intend to return from Ishma. Not alive, anyway. That silly priest of St Michael cast his own spell on me, unfortunately I was so sickly and unstable at that point I was completely taken in, by both the church and The Knights of The Land. Disgusting. Taking advantage of people to bolster their numbers clearly isn't beneath them. Not that I'm surprised. Anyway, back on topic. Monty, you were hardly restored in the traditional sense, as such I'm sure side effects aren't completely unheard of. It was quite an impressive feat, bringing you back. Perhaps one day, I'll be able to master something similar. Bronze drake willing..." She grins.

"I died the other day and while I lay there, I heard the priests arguing. They said I was a liability. That they shouldn't bring me back. It really got me thinking, you really can't trust anyone nowadays." She frowns.

"Perhaps I'm just tired. I guess I'm feeling philosophical tonight. What were we talking about again?"

Gorim rests a hand on her shoulder as he tops up her tankard.

"You are not a liability lassy a bit misunderstood maybe, but not a liability. The world needs balance, you add the little bit of chaos. "

He pauses to fill the cups of those present

"Loric here is the burning light. Monty is more the grey, Yomi proof that good can come from darkness. Me I'm just iron an and stone, just doing my bit. And mason well I've yet to define him.... Think he likes being an enigma. "

"Okay. Bye then." Molly mutters, rolling her eyes and taking a swig of drink.

"Honestly, what is with you lot? Gorim is horribly oversimplifying what it means to be good or evil, Monty has turned into some kind of chair-hating maniac and Loric, well don't even get me started on Loric. I have good reason to be miserable, angsty and bitter, yet I still look more cheerful than you. Seriously Loric, crack a bloody smile or I'll burn this tavern to the ground. Don't think I won't do it." She says, raising a small flame in the palm of her hand. To the more observant, the flame seems rather more golden and shimmery than usual, as if tinged or tainted with the essence of bronze.

"Hell, give me enough time, money and research and I'm pretty sure I could make you smile." She adds, glancing to her grimoire.

"Everyone! What on Primus is going on? I'm not going to be a part of this plan if everyone wants to kill each other!
So for crying out loud, stop it and sit down. I've changed my ways with the help of the almighty Thor! and I too understand that demons aren't
part of Primus unless they're Primal! But, we can all figure this out. So stop it!"
