Greetings,

I do not believe that I have had the pleasure. A slightly more formal and detailed introduction would seem to be appropriate. Who is it that has requested your assistance?

No, he is an ancient folk. Count of the Cloud Way within the Brandins

My master would be interested in who invited him along considering Schiner won't be present...

An interesting and somewhat arrogant (as is there way) way of introducing himself to Starsdays Group.

An ancient folk...

I don't think I've stumbled upon such a creature before. Your kind isn't exactly welcomed in the Baronies. If your presence has been requested by Scheider I would request that you bring a letter bearing his mark confirming his request for assistance. You will no doubt forgive my lack of trust, the seven horned god's minions are everywhere.

Dearest Count,

I have spoken with Scheider and your assistance in these matters is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if there is anything you require this Starsday. If you require an escort through the Baronies to Coris Mount I will happily put some of my men at your disposal.

Please feel free to engage in our discussions regarding those acomplishments we are setting out to achieve this Starsday. We will need to travel to you mine within the Brandin Mountains in order to recover some cursed gold if that is agreeable with you.

Please let me know if you require any further infromation. There is no need to bring any letter from Schneider as previously requested as he has spoken to me already on this matter.

Melanie Von Treir.

OOC: Please feel free to read the Claws board regarding the ritual and the ritter pravus and take the info as IC.

See you Saturday!

Matt

Greetings Gentlemen

Thank you, we have read those documents you are allowing us access to and have questions.

>Ioben's Mine in the Brandins<

We have already doubled the guard on the “Glitter Mine”, which is our mine and not Loben’s. Could you be more specific as to the location of this mine? As that will enable us to ask our Dwarf friends about it, local knowledge and folk lore is a wonderful thing after all.

>Thralled Dwarves< >Griffins<

We would remind you all that the Empire and the Baronies by treaty can lay no claim to the Brandins, the laws of such do not apply, both sides our however allowed to send patrols to hunt outlaws. The Eastern part is divided into five separate territories. Those independent places, the Foul Lands which are infested with Ghouls, Table Stone Mountain, the Cloud Way which is our own Kingdom and Al’Macsar the Dwarf Kingdom under the Mountains.

Our Court and before that even existed the Queen of Dwarfs have long been friends and allies to the South, neither of us would take kindly to Dwarfs being killed, that is not a threat more a statement of being. We would appreciate it if efforts where made to free them, could this be communed about, of course if such is not possible….

As for the Griffins are we talking about the ones that inhabit and rule the area around Table Stone Mountain or more bestial creatures? The first are creatures of law, intelligent, mostly wizards of gold and white magic whom can be reasoned with, the later are food for the sword.

>Kessleharn Ghost<

I find it hard to believe that such a creature would be in the Mountains, so far from Bildteve and the swamps of that area. But then perhaps it is a remaining ember from either the Bone King’s army or the prison on the Western side of the Brandin Mountains. That was opened some six years ago by those from the Empire and the creatures within descended on Schoty causing much death and destruction before being slain.

Do you wish for our Court to give our Artificer a bundle of gold to attempt to make a sword?

Shiwan Khan

OOC -

Sorry about the long winded IC email but I thought it nice to fill in some basic history of the area to give color and ask some questions.

I have no Communications myself as Shiwan and his Court are obviously busy so I can’t have them communicate day and night for me (rule of brown…). Giles has however told me I might have local knowledge questions answered if I have enough information to ask the right ones.

So I need to know roughly where Ioben’s mine is. The presence of Griffins in a Rune answer suggests near Table Stone Mountain, but I need some confirmation.

With regards to the sword made of gold, that’s a referee call so no guarantees.

Ooc - out of interest who offered you the guest slot as Shiwan?

Iic: my master is Most offended by your questioning of the communication responses we have provided Count Kahn. I would beware of polking a bear already enraged by the idiocy of others.
The points I have put forward on behalf of Magiarch Mismore are not for discussion they are fact.

We do not seek permissions or similar to deal with these facts, the claws under the organisation of the Ritter will do what is needed to complete their task in Empire, Baronies or Brandins with or without your permission.

OOC: Obviously Rob, i did. Being the Guild master.

If you would like to read up on Baronial history i am more than happy to send you my old heros turns.

It may be helpful for you to know more about Baronial politics, such as their stance on the Cloud Way court.

Isn't this character meant to be an acolite or something?

Seriously dude, do you have any characters without a massive chip on their shoulders? Because your ic response just sounds like you.

OOC:

Table Stone Mountain has existed in LRP long before Hero’s was even started, it is to my knowledge one of the original Brandin Mountain lands marks, the other being Al’Macsar.

In this one the LRP side of the game has had an effected on Heros, not the other way around. Another LRP effect on that game is that at a player request from the LRP side it’s impossible to get into Al’Macsar, let alone find it (I should know I tried I know it’s there I just can’t get to it)

Chris don’t worry, it’s Rob being Rob. He is responding based on the information he has and his characters own arrogance (which could give a Melni a run for his money).

I’ll just keep in mind every time I go into “the circles lands” I’ve respected their laws and their ways and visa versa when it comes to Scheinder and the various NPC’s that visit including my resident Circle/South Ambassador NPC.

It’s a game after all, a game that now involves basic politics since people have divided into different nations with their characters which is all good :-). My Character is just responding as any 'king' would in a world of high adventure.

Now I'm going to keep the rest of my responses IC as I don't want to get into an OOC slagging match.

Greetings Gentlemen

We will endeavour to find out what we can based on the information provided, the Dwarfs might know something or perhaps we have a book in our own library.

My Artificer informs me he can make a Sword of Gold for the cost of 10,000 Grulls and a bundle of Gold.

Will you require a Mage or a Sword arm on this mission, we can be either.

Shiwan Khan

OOC

Giles informs me one gold sword can be made for 10,000 Grulls, the benefit is no dice rolls are needed.

Up to you gentlemen if you want to take that offer and gain a guild/personal item. I wouldn't be able to use it pts app restrictions.

Ooc - I am not going to get in to a row with you Chris, my response is IC and for very good reason. Also inviting non circle members on to a dungeon you aren't playing the guild leader on is sort of cheeky,
Especially considering its an on going campain organised by someone else! Fact is I don't really object bar as a point of principle!

IC thank you for the offer Count Kahn but the gold weapon is doubly dealt with. I have a smith of infamous repute standing by to turn goild we find in to weapons and he has a gold dagger
For us for free if for some reason we can't get the gold. Thankyou for your offer. Of more help would be the knowledge of dealing with Griffens in the Brandins which my communications suggest we will meet.

Shiwan Khan,

Many thanks for the additional information you have furnished us with, it will be of great help. We have Andre and Dimitri within our number this Starsday both of which are well acquainted in magics. As such having another sword arm would be very useful to us.

I will speak to Dimitri who holds our guild funds. Having a gold sword constructed in advance of Starsday would seem to be a sensible option. Should we also have some silver weapon made in the meantime as Nikoli seemed to think it important (although the Green Nail harmed by solver is already presumably dead).

We will attempt to avoid harming the dwarfs although thrall spells are notoriusly difficult to break. Some further communing might be in order to deal with that.

Melanie

OOC: Sorry, my bad. Chris PM'd me as Schneider 2 weeks ago and I completely overlooked where he told me that Rob was coming along as Shiwan. So he's definitely ok for a guest slot. I should have put out an IC intro thing about it, and would have done so had I not overlooked the PM. Apologies to all involved for any confusion and inconvenience.

Andre,

What do you know of Griffins? I have no idea of their power or vulnerabilities. I believe that they are flying creatures...am I right? I have not encountered these things before and any information on them would be useful.

Only that we are likely to encounter them in the mountians, Hence any guidance the Count could provide would be of use

OOC

Ok I know I said I wouldn't post OOC again but...

I thought this was a random guild special, if I'd know it was someone else's campaign I would have asked the group as a whole before booking on. So in short this is an apology, if there is a next time I'll check with those already booked on.

Anyway I'll get back to waiting for a response to my Communication answers.

It's fine - good in fact.

Nah you don't get responses to Comm Answers, just Comm questions - but because I am a lovely man
you might get a PM shortly.
Generally local knowledge will tend to turn up on dungeon descriptions rather than as comm answers per se

Giles.
