On Starsday we are launching an operation against a new enemy Called the Grist.
I have been busy getting a ritual transportation ready that ignores the normal mercenary safeguards as signed off by Bartimeous. The Important information The transportation will happen at 10:30 you will be attacked as you arrive. We know that the Grist spread by means of a plague so being resistance to disease is highly recommended. I will meet you on the plane with my Tavern for lunch. Jerimiah Longthorn DROAC |

No no no!!
Jacob this is not the way!! We are going to the Temple of Dreal (god of disease and water) on the plane of Lindorthel. You must all be immune to the diseases before going there or you will immediately become one of them (Grist that is)!! They are all undead, and so will you be if not immune to disease. Oh and also no one should transport whilst using any temporary (or permanent if cast before going rather than just being tough) improvements or aids or assistances such as an adrenal surge or using 20 ivory warrior glyphs as the enemy will see all of these as you transport and copy and benefit from EVERY SINGLE ONE!! Then when we gets there it will be like the biggest fight like Tristan had before so no time to chat just kill, kill, kill. Then we need to find the blinkered eye rite and destroy it so we can find out about the plague rite then we destroy it then all the Grist will attack us. Then we run away and find Jeremiah who will take us elsewhere. We don't need to kill all of the now deranged Grist as the Doccra family will be more than happy to do that for us and they want their city back so that would be for the best anyway. There is some link between these Grist and some people from "The Void" and the city of the Lost and its corruption. Anyway it will be really great to see you all again Rashid Genie |

Is this intelligently learned or simply copied and automatically used? If the latter I would suggest using something that aids you but prevents you being able to fight, or similar, or prevents some of their attack forms - hide your spirit perhaps, cast the mana shield spell. From what I remember the Grist often require thrown magic to kill them; thus most likely a mana shield would kill them. Cast the righteous aura miracle, or a power which removes ongoing pestilence, the holy ground miracle or similar. If the former, I would suggest a form of blinkered eye rite or similar could well prevent such. Sounds like it would be worth checking as potentially this could be used to entirely ruin them. Rashid Genie This needs to be clarified 100%, otherwise some of us may as well not go. It is a guarantee that some of our number will not already be or have the time to train with a plague priest to be immune to Disease. Xeno OOC: if this is the case, while being immune to disease is one of those things to have, it's BS for a dungeon to be written to basically "tax" you 100 points... -------------------- Jules

It is a guarantee that some of our number will not already be or have the time to train with a plague priest to be immune to Disease. Xeno You will go where the legion commands you to go and do what the legion commands you to do, plague or no plague and whether you like it or not. I hear undead are impervious to disease, perhaps I should be talking to Lady Persiphone about moving you into a different held? Teribus vo Lecht Commander, 68th Penal OOC: But yes, it would seem a little harsh if you can't do the event without that immunity. If it is just "good to have", then all cool; that's no different from doing a ghoul dungeon without immunity to paralysis. |

Well,
That is a shame. Unfortunately I'm not yet immune to the effects of a disease.., I do hope this won't be a problem for me! Jacob, Of her lady Elbereth, Of the Legion! -------------------- Callum Kenney

Sir!
I was not speaking for myself, Sir! I am unaffected by disease, however I was speaking of others in the group. I go wherever the Legion needs me without care for myself Sir! This was not the intention of my missive, Sir! Xeno -------------------- Jules

Glad to here it soldier. Your concern for others is noble, though unnecessary. I am sure Mr Longthorn won't be sending civilian mercenaries to certain death without some means of warding themselves.
