With the steady influx of northern tribal's, Alguz was enjoying something of a boom in trade and culture. But with this change of pace came the expected grumbles from those who weren't so keen on anything different. Too few jobs, not enough space... and just what was the Empress going to do about it?
So, of course, when people started to go missing from the roads north of the city, the blame game began. It had to be the newcomers! Because of course, everything was fine before... In came a band of mercenaries, led by Stef. Their initial investigations yielded swift results, though the murder of their informant in the middle of a tavern led to a steep fine on the fae known as Sparek. In short order the cult responsible for the disturbance was tracked down, and after an efficient yet merciful tour through their caves, their Demon master, to whom the missing people had been sacrificed, was easily defeated. Renown for Stef in particular exuded from the city as he spent some time extolling the virtues of "getting off your [----]" and "doing a good days work" to the lazier element of the area. -------------------- Will Power - will@labyrinthe.co.uk
