As promised, after our recent forays, here is the information I recovered and have since investigated further.

Corrupting Disease

There is a rift which a number of us discovered the day before while investigating different matters. It leads to the realm of a demon called Estamov the Corruptor. Getting in is easy - rituals or just reopening the rift which we temporarily sealed will both work.

The Shadowed Wrath

They believe in the eradication of angels and other goodly supernatural entities from Primus. They, misguidedly believe that if all the angels left, then the abishai, demons and the like would simply follow, leaving Primus to the humanoid races (and that it would be a better place because of such). Their goal clearly doesn't make sense but it is something stupid people or those that just want to be evil could buy into.

They're targetting faiths with a creation myth - e.g. Creator, Unity, LoTS, St. Michael.

They don't have a deity themselves and so are claiming places of dark power and old dark words so as to gain access to their evil spirits. Those places tied to evil gods where unholy words mattered would have residual power to draw on and use.
It is also not impossible that they could be hunting a specific set of words, or to obtain the power of certain words for themselves. Being able to speak multiple words in a sequence could be extremely dangerous.

As a group they're quite well shielded from scrying; specifically they have at least one hidden location which is entirely shielded and the rank and file are quite disparate from the core, so know little of what the leadership are up to.

They have no imminent plans, though I have scried several possible things that we or others could useful do about the group if we wish to act. I will provide further details on these nearer the time since the future becomes more certain the closer it is (OOC: Lee has more things to run on this plot and can give me some possible briefs).

We know they're led by a man called Tyler Wrath. Ideally, we should seek to capture him alive. I believe this is more important than just for information's sake. He was a pretty small time hermit 2 - 3 years ago, so his rise has been quick.

The Unbound World

They are a threat to the Throne of Glass and Primus as it stands, but not more than that. What would happen if the throne shatters isn't entirely clear. Lots of people say "it is this" but few know. As it happens I know quite a bit about this, but it isn't the sort of thing I can just talk about. Harpell also knows quite a lot regarding the nature of the Throne and how it works.

If they are right then breaking the Throne will just mean Primus can expand and there won't be a mittlenacht/secundus anymore. If they are wrong then the opposite would become true. I am not convinced it is anything like as clear cut as this however. Secundus/mittlenacht are not just things that have been forgotten or lost from the skein of Primus, but the result of important choices where two paths diverge.

I am certain that in the future someone works out more answers but there is a strange kind of warding, almost a specific barrier of some sort, that prevents Levity from perceiving the future beyond it. If we could work out what that was and remove it, then quite possibly things might become clearer.

There aren't any connections between the Shadowed Wrath and the Unbound World.

Please feel free to distribute to trusted others outside of the knights. I'm going to allow others into this particular chamber to add discussion points.

This is a copy of the letter we found also.

"Mathias,

You do not need to offer anything for our help our desire is to return places like yours to Primus from the ‘Nacht. You should always be allowed to come home. The danger the throne presents to people like you is clear and no one seems willing to accept it.

Good luck with your return, and if you need further aid ask.

The Unbound World"

I should mention that I am a member of the Unbound World. Like our organisation there are lots of members who are in the order for all sorts of reasons. Some want to help, others are in it for the glory. The aim is to bring back people and places that have been lost to the Nacht. People have mentioned some overriding goal to eliminate the nacht but I haven't seen evidence of it thus far.

With regards to Estamov the Corruptor, I have a little information that may be of interest.
He was summoned to Primus by Pelishtar during the demons incursion to Halgar and was responsible for corrupting the candle of Pelain.
He was paid in souls/sacrifices. Mercenaries have fought him before and Serin vo Tryst was aware of him and indeed wary. Apparently he is very potent and might only be killable by someone with theurgic or divine power. He could not actually be finished off until his acolytes, which resided on his own/home plane were all killed - they needed to be all killed and pretty quickly or they would be reborn on the wheel of life and you would have to start again. Some of this latter information may be hearsay but I thought worth noting,

The problem is far from wanting to bring back places lost to the 'nacht. This is something I am very capable of doing and indeed have done on numerous occasions in the past. The primal spirit recognises me as "The Bringer of Worlds". The problem is, I believe, in the manner in which the Unbound World are seeking to do so. The way they engineer convergence is by adding rather than merging. This places a stress and a strain on Primus which eventually could cause the skein of the world to fracture and us to be all cast into the 'nacht.

Can you ask one of their leaders to speak with me. I can facilitate them means to bring back places which have been lost without causing damage to Primus by doing so. It is the very essence of what Primal Sunlight is and does. I have ample ritual foci that they could safely use and safe locations to bring places back to.

I'm not interested in discussion regarding the throne and its role or not. If they genuinely want to recover lost places, then I can help them do so without any danger to anyone and in a peaceful fashion. Indeed I even have a chain of islands off the coast of Scarlene which has about 5 - 6 places I recovered some years ago; an old magiarch's tower, a castle, a jungle-like island, what was left of Golden Scarlene and more.

As an aside. As the pre-eminent mittlesmith in the exostance (this is not to brag, it is simply statement of fact), I do not believe it will ever be possible to eliminate the mittlenacht. Throughout history choices have been made. There are shadows and reflections of those choices which echo in secundal realities and the soup of the 'nacht that flows between them. To eliminate the 'nacht would be to eliminate choice and time itself, to deconstruct the entire exostance and reconstruct it in an entirely different fashion. While of course, anything is possible, the idea of doing so is so utterly remote and miniscule with such catastrophic dangers involved that I do not think it even worth considering.

I've sent you a private message Lord Nexus. I will happily try to ask one of the leadership to speak with you. However, the group doesn't really have a recognisable hierarchy. The organisation works in cells and as such each member knows only a few others. I'll do what I can though.

Thanks. I've replied. I've made a public statement, which I assume anyone in the group will be able to read, offering them my help. I've been doing what they've been doing for over a decade, just in a way which is safe for Primus. If they're prepared to let me help, we can work together.

2 things to add to the above, so please excuse me as I am not a member of your order.

Tyler wrath may be new as a priest, but he smashed me about when I met him a month or two ago. He has a number of ritual defences or "shells if you like" the first needed to be blessed with the power of magic and spirit, I did this but he may have re-empowered it by now. The second needed to be dismissed, I am unaware of the name to use and can confirm it is larger than a vampire. There is almost certainly at least one more layer, however I only determined the second after defeating the first so can't not tell beyond the second what was required.

I can confirm Serin's word quoted above by Nev. He has approximately 3000 followers on a small pocket plane. These must all be slain within a couple of hours, and then he himself slain on the plane. Probably not an easy task as he isn't bound to the pocket plane, he might be once his followers are killed but this remains unknown.

Likewise, please forgive my intrusion in this chamber.

The Church of the Lady of the Stars met followers of the Shadowed Wrath on the same day that Castiel did, albeit in a differing location. They invaded our cathedral in an attempt to obliterate an angel, I believe to empower some form of ritual. They attempted to destroy me and several others, but failed. We followed them back to an abandoned and crumbling temple of Condesecration, and slew them. We did not, however, encounter Tyler Wrath on that occasion.

Dear all,

While travellin' with some of my faith, myself and some other Knights encountered some of the Shadowed Wrath Starsday gone. I am also wading my way through a whole load of notes all written in the old language which may yield more information about them.

Happy to share when I get to the end.

Regards,

Wick
