The green-nail Adalwolfa, also known as the Witch of Rammelsbach, was slain by a group of mercenaries from the Empire hired by House Morton. The party were hired after Lady Morton began looking into the recent reappearance of Ethan Crode in Rodanne. Some years ago, Crode, the half brother of Lady Morton, sought to curse the House and but for the actions of a heroic group of mercenaries would have succeeded. Since that time and with the criminal still at large, Lady Morton had been searching for any clues as to where Ethan Crode was and what he had been up to, to protect what was left of her family and the folk of Gantrick in rural Sellaville.

The threat of Ethan Crode, who has turned himself into a creature of undeath know as the 'Master of the Tomb' still hung over the family so when it was discovered that he had been planning to recreate one of his canopic jars, Lady Morton knew now was the time to act. Talk amongst the mercenary community was that Crode had created 4 such jars that bound part of his soul and made him unkillable until those jars were dealt with first. One had already been destroyed, but 3 remained and were hidden until, to House Morton’s great expense, one secret location was discovered in the dark forests of Wallastovia, close to the town of Rammelsbach.

Crode had killed Adalwolfa and raised her as a cursed undead guardian of his canopic jar. The mercenaries had an eventful day getting the things needed to deal with the undead green nail. During the hire they cured a hedge druid from being a lycanthrope, successfully handled the suspicious southerners and Ritter Drachyul (despite having what looked like a fey Prince and his fey allies within their mercenaries ranks), and cleared the fey court of the Bronzed Tongue from a twisted and mystical Bronze tower in amongst the misty trees of the forest. Following the mercenaries leaving, the tower strangely turned from bronze to silver and its architecture from a twisted fey design to one of a rough-cut silvered diamond.

Within the ruins of an old tower, Adalwolfa was killed by the group and another of Crode’s canopic jars found. One of the mercenaries took the jar off to be destroyed and see if any further information could be found about the remaining two jars hidden elsewhere on Primus!
