It is my sad duty to inform the mercenary community at large of the passing of Peronel Winterhaven. As all those who knew her would expect, she fell fighting (and defeating) an enemy of the land and its people. She shall be missed by many. I shall certainly deeply mourn the absence of her kindness, courage, and formidable intelligence upon Primus. My commiserations particularly extend to Tai, Kenobi, and the other members of her family.
She rests now at the side of her deity and shall return when he sees fit. For now I trust that she will rest in joy. Nirnaeth Arnoediad (Ignatius) |

This makes me very sad, Primus feels lessened by her departure.

My thoughts are with her and her family. I hope that her rest, well deserved, brings her peace.

I was so pleased I was able to see her today. It has been too long since the Blackwood days, and for this chapter to end as it has is heartbreaking. She has been one of the brightest heroes to walk Primus, and the Empire will rightly miss her.
For Penny, I hope she has a long and peaceful rest. For the rest of us, I hope she returns very soon. Isaac Cordarel |

Penny was the one who took me at my word when she found me on a plane of demonic imprisonment and helped free me.
I have travelled with her only once since then but followed her example to join the Knights and have the honour to be a retainer of her House. She will have died well and in a good cause I have no doubt. I echo Isaac's wish for her swift return... though she deserves a rest. Kurth Honeyman. |

She restored my faith in what nobility truly means. It was a pleasure to meet her for the first time, and whilst sad that it will be the one and only time, on this turning of the wheel at least, I greatly respect the decision she made and her reasons for it.
She died in the same way, I suspect, as she lived...in service to others. With respect, Sirac Drakeson |

She has been a good friend and staunch defender of not just our land but all lands over the years.

It's easy to become complacent about the deaths of those who have vitae. I know I often am. Yet whilst they almost always return, they are often not who they once were, Primus having changed them as they see fit. So I'll mourn the passing of the incarnation of Penny Winterhaven who was a friend, sometimes a conscience, and always a brother but in the sincere and perhaps selfish hope that she returns in all the important ways the same as before.

My condolences to House Winterhaven and the many who called her friend.
Peronel’s reputation for protecting the people of our grand Empire was legendary. I have no doubt there will be many a tear shed in mourning her passing. Lord Berkeley Arneherne |

If I'm honest I'm only surprised she lasted this long.
I've several fond memories of Penny but I think my favourite is the time we looked at each other as our spiritforms were about to end and silently tried to decide which of us would be excommunicated for killing the blauz who was waiting for us to become vulnerable again. Good times. Ignatius was there too (as is so often the case) but I suppose he must have been dead again, or forgotten to bring a mace, or something. I sincerely hope that if she returns, it is to a life of her choosing and not one chosen for her. 'Rus -------------------- No of course I won't ref. Are you mad?

I've been thinking for a while on what to say.
I just don't have the words. I know she's in a Heaven somewhere. But I just don't know which one. She confused me like that. But it didn't really matter, because she was just a good person. Not because someone told her to be, she just was, and that's what made her so special. So rather than look for her, I will just let her rest in peace until she's ready to join the mortal world again and be reunited with her friends. In the meantime... I have some planning to do while she's gone... Clovis |

Sad to hear, a well-respected mercenary and knight. I was fond of her and look forward to sharing a drink when she returns.
