The Norton update has killed my computer, disconnected it from the internet and wiped my restore points. I will mail some people with my work email. Bother.

I can take a look at it if needed. Worse comes to worse I can create a fresh installation for you. :]

Cheers,

- Nick.

I`'ll be off to the local computer shop in the morning. Thanks for the offer though. You may end up as my last resort. My computer has always had a problem uploading Norton. It currently won`t even connect to the internet. The restore points have vanished as well.

Norton's notorious for being a bit of a pain, I found it slows machines down quite a bit as well.

Let me know how it goes! It sounds like Norton has created a rule that blocks your connection.

The restore points are probably a bit more tricky, sounds like a clean-up process has removed them, but they might still exist.

Cheers,

- Nick.
