Labyrinthe Forum _ Of the North _ Guild Specials for 2016

Posted by: Ferro Dec 19 2015, 10:35 PM

Hi all,

Just to let you know that I've booked 2 guild specials for early 2016 - both max 2k's for Sat 30th Jan and Sun 28th Feb.

Please let me know any dates further on in the year that are good for some more guild specials and any refs that want to explore the north and it's plot then please also let me know.

Any input as to what people think should be added to guild funds also appreciated as this is something I want to get set up fairly soon too.

Cheers! smile.gif

as i've been asked a couple of times now and i've let you down both times, i'll post myself as ref for both of these, and start writing something winter court based.

Pm me when they are up to book onto (or i'll forget tongue.gif) and also with what you guys want to get out of the venture, so you just don't aimlesly wander secundus for two days tongue.gif

That's great - thank you!

Both are now up for booking and although we want first dibs for guild members, guest slots will be available.

However, absolutely no knights of the land are welcome on either guild special following the events on today's guild theme.

Booked

Unsure who I'll play at the moment

Ah poop, limits me a bit (can understand why smile.gif) but very tempted to dig out my old mage or flint.

Booked on to both as my goblin smile.gif

Any issue with me coming along in an 'advisor' capacity as Ashalan?

Rgds,
Tim

Posted by: Ferro Dec 21 2015, 05:19 PM

I have no issues with that Tim as long as Jules is okay with writing that in smile.gif

Posted by: Kail Dec 21 2015, 05:35 PM

Yeah Edd. Fighting along side the Knights like that then getting party killed.

Indeed - it's not like I deserve any of the harsh treatment I got....

Oh no wait

Can't find it but I believe there is a minimum points threshold for the advisor role? How many points are you Tim?

Posted by: ChrisAndrews Dec 21 2015, 09:54 PM

QUOTE(Duncan) *
Guild advisor's: guild specials will have a listed threshold, if the threshold is set as unbalanced it is assumed to be 10k. You may play a character (you must be a member of the guild, not a guest) as an advisor if you are on table 12 and at least double the advertised threshold. Additionally you must give the referee at least a weeks notice of your intentions to play an adviser. Advisor's will be expected not to take full participation in encounters, thus it may not be suitable for all characters. It would be acceptable to parry, or block blows for non-combatants or your self, it would be acceptable to ask comm questions, heal people and generally give advice, and other variants of the examples listed, rule 7 applies if in any dought. For those old enough to remember advisors the first time round, it is no longer the case there will be an "advisors encounter". There is also a limit of 1 adviser per 6 people of fraction there of, so 2 on a full dungeon.

Thanks Tiffer!

Posted by: TimDallen Dec 22 2015, 11:21 AM

Hiya,
Just over 8k so high enough I think.

Ta,
Tim

(just realised I can't do the one in January anyway but I can do the one in Feb if you're cool with it?)

Sounds fine

Posted by: Abel Jan 21 2016, 11:23 AM

Hey guys!

Ok with all the plot written (Thanks Huw "Writer of doom length background" and Will "World plot Mastermind"), I'm hoping there won't be any overlap from your last dungeon (or too much crossed wires and mismatching info), all I need now is a list of what people are playing.

Stacey Welch - Winter Elf Rogue
Edward Halligan - Really bad priest
Mark Dallen - Mini Dorf - Paladin/Priest
Tim Dallen - Ashalan - Ghost Priest of Moradin (Advisor) 8k
Rob Shepard - High elf Body Guard
Jasper Maclean - Farfolk Scout/Chirugeon
Labyman - 1/2 silver elf artificer
Rob Donnison - Goodly Troll Witch

Posted by: DanM Jan 21 2016, 11:25 AM

I'm planning on my Orc Rogue at the moment
Will update more when I've made a solid choice

Posted by: CharleyL Jan 21 2016, 09:50 PM

Goblin warrior

Posted by: Rob Jan 22 2016, 12:37 PM

Probably high elf body guard

Awaiting on PM response from organiser

Awkwardly I need to be hired to be someone las body guard to play but I can't except dungeon pay so it evens out.....

Posted by: Kail Jan 23 2016, 07:53 PM

A really bad priest. Stacey is playing a winter elf rouge.

Edd

Stacey Welch - Winter Elf Rogue
Daniel Marchant - Orc Rogue?
Charley Lewis - Goblin Warrior
Edward Halligan - Really bad priest
Martin Witts
Mark Dallen - Mini Dorf - Paladin/Priest
Tim Dallen - Ashalan - Ghost Priest of Moradin (Advisor) 8k
Rob Shepard - High elf Body Guard (if allowed to play)

So I've just booked on but have absolutely no idea what to play, too many options smile.gif
Is the threshold 2k or 1500?

2k

2k

Cool. Current thinking is a 500pt (or so) Farfolk Scout/Chirugeon

Posted by: gormaden Jan 25 2016, 08:48 AM

Booked off as I cant see me straight 8th winter elf ranger (lucky dip) making much of a mark, except a bit of a puddle of ice periodically.

Posted by: Abel Jan 25 2016, 09:07 AM

Too be fair Marcos, I think you'd be fine, I wouldn't worry much about threshold, challenge will be approriate, book back on, you'll have fun with the roleplay if nothing else smile.gif

Posted by: RobDonnison Jan 25 2016, 12:22 PM

If no one has any objections, I'd quite like to come along and play my goodly troll witch. He's not a member of the guild, but party constructive.

Posted by: DanM Jan 25 2016, 02:43 PM

I've booked off because I have to work sad.gif

Posted by: Ferro Jan 25 2016, 06:02 PM

Marcos,
Edd may end up as our front line and he's [----] - really [----]. And he's doing double. So book back on and let him heal you instead!

Rob, I have no problem with you playing a troll witch.

Posted by: Rob Jan 25 2016, 06:56 PM

Having spoken to our glorious leader I am going to play my high winter elf body guard

I am happy to be front line and be healed but I will need to be bodyguarding someone vaguely combative who is near the front!

Rob!

Posted by: Jasper Jan 25 2016, 07:08 PM

I'm vaguely combatant-esque (will have a sword and poss even a shield) and very much like not being hit by lightning bolts.

J

Posted by: Labyman Jan 25 2016, 11:43 PM

I'm playing my 1/2 silver elf artificer on this. I'm a bit combative and have some comms and healing

Posted by: CharleyL Jan 26 2016, 12:07 PM

Had to book off sorry.

Posted by: Rob Jan 28 2016, 09:49 PM

I am being sent to Kenya with work so can't play now!!!

Have fun - sorry I am missing it

Rob

Posted by: CharleyL Jan 28 2016, 11:13 PM

Nevermind! Angry goblin is back on!

Posted by: Rob Jan 29 2016, 06:56 AM

Was it something I said?!
