Hilariously, I'm playing Ignatius.

I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine.... smile.gif ph34r.gif

What's an Ignatious? I ask because I've lost track since last I encountered him.

I seem to recall Benediction & Force Priest last.

Has anyone else decided on what they are playing?

BBB

An Ignatius is basically a first class buddoka/first class pure priest/spirit only angel of mercy with bells on.

However, he is played by me, so he is ineffective and largely wanders around tutting.

There are spaces on the first two now if anyone's interested. As it turns out Christine was still booked on (it seems unlikely she'll be playing) and Martin's likely to have to book off. If anyone else fancies playing do please book on.

It would be good to get an idea of who's playing what if I don't know already.

Cheers,

Huw

I've just booked onto both!

Is there a party list anywhere? Lots of options to play!

Posted by: dnsmantra Apr 17 2016, 09:28 PM

BBB - Sylph Wizard
Rebecca - Boo - Wizard/Budoka
Grant - Auggy - Witchdoctor/Assassin
SamR - ???
Ryan - Priest/Wizard
Dan - Healing Druid
Stuart M - High Grey Silver/Wizard
Matt - Iggy - Priest/Budoka
Carlo - Bradley
Giles - Setebos
+ Benson for Sunday - ???

That's it at the moment. If anyone else wants to book on I suggest emailing the bookings line as Christine is still on at the moment (and she will no doubt be booking off this week, when someone reminds her too).

The front line currently appears to be pretty non-existent.

Cheers,

Huw

Doh, sorry!

I'd rather be playing sad.gif

I'm booked for parts 3 & 4, although I have not a clue what I will be playing - unlikely to be a combatant though.

It would be really handy if Stuart, Sam, Carlo & Rob could let me know what they plan to play in the next couple of days. If the party is going to be very combat/warrior light I'd like to try and stat for that in advance; likewise if a couple of people in that list are playing warrior types then I don't need to worry so much.

Cheers,

It is worth noting that I am not really, by any stretch of the imagination, a front line. I'm a good skirmish fighter but very much not 'a warrior' - basically my spend looks like I stood in the character generating shop going "ooh, shiny!" a bunch of time (it's a miracle I managed to make it to buying 8th Level Budoka without interruption). It makes me quite tough in a utility sense but not in a stand and fight sense. Especially because I'm immune to the party's main source of healing (sorry Dan!) and have half a spirit so will make Matt's power cry.

Carlo, you don't actually think you get a choice about what to play, right?

Posted by: BBB Apr 17 2016, 10:48 PM

I think being described as "Wizard" is stretching things a bit but technically correct smile.gif

BBB

Posted by: Stuart Apr 18 2016, 11:43 AM

Isaac - 1800-ish points of high grey/silver wizard. Pretty solid so long as there's no-one trying to hit him, when he tends to fall to pieces and panic. A little bit of 'mantics for emergencies and a couple of physical comms too.

I can plate/bind/shatter most of the day long, but would gleefully blow it all instead chasing down interesting plot threads.

Looks like we're looking for Carlo or Sam for some combat stats. smile.gif

Once I've written day 2 I'm going to do a stats pass back over everything and then tweak as it looks super combat light at the moment (which is totally fine, I naturally just need to write for that).

Solid smile.gif

As I say I'll take the lack of combat into account with the stats. Looks like you have plenty of fire-power / other ways of dealing with things though, which should help.

I am uber for one encounter. Normally early in section one... smile.gif

I have booked off Sunday, on account of me being injured and not wanting to do 2 days straight at the caves. This leaves you with A-ref + 1 monster both days.

Ok.

I'm 90% certain I'll be playing Bradley.

The other 10% is max or Oliver, so for statting purposes none of my options are that tough (Bradley is probably tougher than max!)

Slim chance I might not make the whole weekend but will confirm tomorrow

Posted by: dnsmantra Apr 19 2016, 07:46 AM

We're back up to A-ref + 2 on Sat and A-ref + 3 on Sunday. Happy days.

You should play Max, we're old friends smile.gif.
1800 points of Grey/Silver melni wizard, with a bit of fire magic, noble exhumanitas. Like Stuart with the plot threads but less mana

He won't show, there's no point in worrying about who he's playing.

I'm booked on but at a loss as to what to play. Maybe some sort of shapeshifting troublemonkey elf.

Alas, Jasper is right. I don't think I can make the weekend,

So I've booked off so someone else can potentially have my space. Things may change Friday and if there's still a space I'll book back on.

Looks to be an awesome event though! Am sure it'll be good

Posted by: OxMatt Apr 19 2016, 09:13 PM

Carlo, why have you made Jasper right? Stop it immediately.

Matt

Posted by: dnsmantra Apr 22 2016, 09:22 AM

Updated party list (which looks like a really cool and interesting group):

Sat:

Ian - Qualesh
Rebecca - Boo
Grant - Auggy
Sam - Apathy (probably)
Dan - Hesith
Stuart - Isaac
Matt - Ignatius
Giles - Setebos
Jasper - Some sort of shape-changing king slayer?

Sun:

As above +
Ryan - Some sort of priest/wizard
RobB - ?

Cheers,

Big thanks to Huw and his crew for a really immersive and fun weekend.

Very much looking forward to the rest

Just awesome. Thank you so much to everyone, especially Huw, Tim, Stuart, Stuart, Callum, Leo, Martin and Tiffer.

Tired now. Out of power. Medding.

Stuart

P.S. Before I forget I have to mention Melkor, the Lurpak Trombonist of the Valar.

Posted by: OxMatt Apr 24 2016, 08:40 PM

I had a brilliant weekend, thanks to all involved. The party was just the right side of "oh ffs" for my roleplay - enough to cause a lot of difficulties and quick thinking and not enough to just make me walk off dungeon. smile.gif

I particularly enjoyed my 5 minutes of "MELKOR SMASH". smile.gif

Big thanks from me too - I really enjoyed Saturday, apologies for lack of appearance Sunday sounds like it went well. Huge thanks to Huw for layers of interesting plot, and all sorts of other options many I suspect we only scratched. Big thanks also to Stuart, Stuart, Tim, Tiffer for chasing us 'round - literlaly as the void Kraken. Nice to see the re-incarnation of Mr Trumpets into the Lurpak Trombonist of the Valar smile.gif
Will try to get on no. 3

Cheers

Giles.

Just wanted to add my thanks to Huw, Tiffer, Stuart, Stuart, Tim, Callum, Martin and Leo for a challenging and very fun dungeon

Posted by: Ryan Apr 25 2016, 08:39 AM

Indeed thanks to the Sunday team for a great day, just a shame I missed the Saturday!

Posted by: ethuil Apr 25 2016, 09:37 AM

Thank you so much to all of the monsters over the weekend and obviously to Huw for a really tough but nonetheless enjoyable dungeon. Now I just have to make sure I a) survive until September and cool.gif have a way to finish the dungeon following my inevitable deaths on that one. wink.gif

Posted by: dnsmantra Apr 25 2016, 09:50 AM

Adding my huge thanks to the monsters over both days who were awesome and made things much easier for me (especially in taking the time to read the background/roleplay of parts and getting that across really well).

Also to the players for really getting stuck in to the plot and being much fun to ref for. I thought you were brilliant both days and really coped with having not much front-line very well.
