Labyrinthe Forum _ Church of Mortai _ Trapped archangel of Mortai

Posted by: Helsvell Oct 7 2019, 04:48 PM

Greetings,

Sorry for the intrustion, however we recently undertook a mercnary hire in the village of No Hope, South of Halgar. While on the mission we discovered a powerful archangel of Mortai trapped by ritual into an altar. We were unable to release the archangel so I though it best to let you know. I passed the information onto Jack Spratz, a local farmer and spokesperson for the village should you wish to go to investigate further.

(OOC - I am reffing a mortai dungeon in January and intend to base the plot on this)

Kendrik

Thank you for this information, I will ensure something is done about it.

Can you tell me any more about it, or why you were unable to?

My thanks
Lithmore

Greetings Lithmore,

It was not as straight forward as it first seemed. If we merely destroyed the altar or changed it to a different faith then the archangel would have been released but rendered insane and would have tried to kill many of the group who travelled with me. It seemed to be angry at its captivity and some of my group were not aligned to the light.

I spoke to Jack Spratz in detail about the angel and if you wish to travel to the village of No Hope, just south of Halgar then he can direct you to the entrance of the crypt where the archangel is trapped. I need to return home so I will leave your temple now. I wish you good luck with freeing the archangel.

I will join you if I can. I have no tolerance for those who trap the servants of our lord and prevent them from carrying out his will.

I will also commune with Him to see what he knows of the situation.

To the faithful

I have done some divining and have found that it is the Cult of Ruin that are responsible for trapping this angel.

They were using its grace (essence) in rituals to trap undead spirits. Sadly this has rendered it insane so although it can be released with a simple ritual it is currently not safe to do so.

I will be guided by you if there is anything further you wish me to try and divine from Father before your mission.

Although I may not be able to travel with you I will leave what I can in the church stores to help.

'Ello!

I'm bound by an oath to the Church, thanks to the Midnight Revenant I'll be lending my skills to this endeavour. I've a little experience working within crypts and tombs and have some inquisition knowledge that may help us with dangerous rituals.

I look forward to meeting you all.

By the grace and mercy or Mortai

Hello,

I hear you might be coming to investigate the crypt. If you come the village of No Hope, south of Halgar, I can give you directions to the crypt. It is not a long walk but we tend to avoid it.

Thanks,

Jack

To the faithful

Father would have me elsewhere on this day, but my divination powers are at your disposal before then if I can be of assistance.

Let me know the questions you would like knowledge of and I will do what I can.

Halvor

(OOC - although I’m not on dungeon, Pete doesn’t mind the odd Comm 2 so you can prepare yourselves. As it’s your dungeon it’s up to you to direct the questioning!). Dave
