Morning everyone,
Hopefully lots of you now have your hands on the latest Almanac and all the awesome stories inside. I know a few of you haven’t managed to get one yet, but fear not we are printing a few more, they should be available from this weekend. One of the things I really liked about this Almanac was the interesting write ups about things happening in the world. But things are happening in Primus all the time, and sometimes, when you have to wait up to three months for big events to be written up and published, they can lose momentum, or get lost or just not have the same impact as they should have. That's why we've decided to resurrect World Whispers. These are completely voluntary, but gives referees and players a chance to add a flavour to their events, in particular the obvious consequences, put out there on the forums for all to see and react to. Since the end of the play by mail game Heros, I think people are less aware of their general surroundings. We have mountains of history, 30+ years of depth and fascinating background, its our hope the return of world whispers will help everyone feel like part of a bigger world than the 11 players they just played a double length with. There is no event too big or small, this is about making sure that when you run an adventure and something happens, people get to know about the bits they should/could have noticed (what do you mean this place was raised by demons last week??). It's then up to others how much they care about it. Will P will be returning to encouraging referees on a weekly basis to submit things (if they want) and then posting them up on the forums. If you don't want to be reminded or asked, just let us know! Also if you want to know if anything is happening in an area before you write an adventure feel free to get in touch with Will Thank you Duncan |
