Salut,
It was good to join you on your last outing and I hope to join you again. Please find below relevant extracts from my report to the Inquisition. Having deactivated the entrance wardings and entered the Tower we came across a body, laying next to which was a box which contained burnt parchments scraps which stated the following. ‘I forget myself’ ‘Who am I? Alistor’ ‘What have I done?’ ‘Can my tower hold the corruption? The old ones.. that name.. it tears at…’ ‘Oh dragons, whatever you do don’t… no matter what… don’t’ ‘All tooth and claw, green eyes that tear out your soul’ ‘…die than live with the guilt of what we did’ ‘it will lay waste to Primus… nothing can slay it all we can do is contain’ ‘I have nothing left… my life… we were fools to seek it but… it was just our history?’ ‘Save yourselves, I hope we are never found’. ‘It killed… all of them none of … harm it … the entire Ascendency has fallen…’ ‘Sharmyn’ ‘I sealed it on the 4th… now I must hide…’ We proceeded through numerous traps, riddles and puzzles when we came across almost magical apparitions of some of ‘The Ascendency’. From speaking to them and from communing with the tower itself it would appear that the Tower was constructed by a Alistor Kurthyn [sic] who was head ‘The Ascendency’ . This could well be the same Alistor as mentioned on the scraps of parchment and indeed it may be that the body was Alistor himself. The apparitions last memory was a huge explosion. The year of the explosion was 811. The tower had been underwater for all but the last year. On the fourth floor (probably the same as mentioned on the scrap) they had trapped a ‘creature’. It was this creature that the demons on the other 3 isles surrounding the tower seemed so interested in. The imprisoned creature is a servant of God (Ruin?) Further the tower itself spoke of ‘Everything is Ruin’ It is safe explore floors 1, 2 and 3. Communing about what resides on floor four is dangerous and should not be undertaken by those without suitable defences. That is most of the information we gathered. We fought further although unfortunately we were not able to reach the second floor given that our lack of healing meant it would be foolhardy to do so (we had fought hundreds of elementals by this point). We did however manage to activate the towers defences so that the demons who by then had managed to entire the tower were repelled. Furthermore we established a portal so that subsequent hires do not have to repeat the traps, puzzles etc that we overcame. Yours Marcus Deces |

My apologies for intruding on matters I have not been involved in.
I believe the creature that is trapped within this tower is one of the Faroth. They are foremost amongst the servants of Ruin, and nigh unkillable. Please be very careful that you do not inadvertently release this being, they can bring terrible destruction to the lands. I have recently submitted a report of what I know to the inquisition. But will gladly share that same information with anyone who seeks to stand against Ruin. May Harmony guide yer thoughts, and Purpose yer actions, Sirac Drakeson |
