Just a quick update for what happened yesterday, i am not the best person to fill in all the details but four of use were tasked to find some of the objects that Lightsong the starsinger will need before he can sing to the Throne we need.
One was a Bell in the hands of a group priests of Discord, this will help break the rites anchoring the Throne. A star metal fragment that has been touched by a angel, not sure the details but i believe we managed to get it. Both should now be safe in Gothiel I would like to thank Asta Khan, Zhara and Lionkin who all worked hard and without them we would not of managed to get these objects. I've got some star metal touched by an angel. We found some at Yana O Elen and forged it into necklaces and then each had to give them to someone else in the faith. That was a long time ago, but it feels like even longer.

My friends,
My work on the ritual to draw the star metal throne from within the Black Lead city to Gothiel is progressing well. I have narrowed it down to a dozen objects that will be suitable, though am hoping to find a way to use less. At least one of these however will attract the attention of the black lead has soon as it is obtained. I have also managed to find a suitable time to cast the ritual. It seems that the best time to draw the throne from within the Black Leads city is on a full moon, or as close to one as possible, but during the day. Additionally the best time for the throne to settle within Gothiel is a day of importance to the faith. This leads me to suggest that the ritual is performed on the last few days of next month. This will give you time to prepare, and it will mean the throne will be in Gothiel in time for the celebrations around Valasius’ redemption. Obtaining the object in the few days before this would perhaps be best, so the Lead have as little time as possible to strike back or stop the ritual. I am sure that there will be many individuals willing to assist in striking at the Black Lead, so I can speak with Joseph in Gothiel to arrange to hire some appropriate mercenaries to assist if people feel it would be useful. Not the evil necromancer ones you've sworn to defend though, or the ones who've said they are going to kill Thomas. Don't bring them.

Well, yes, that would probably be unwise.
I will see if I can find some people more wooly than myself to help. It will be a tough task, but I shall do my best. Ignatius |

Dear friends,
I have recieved missives from the Department of Mercenry Affairs, who need assistance in eradicating the Pine Warriors within the Greenwood , that continue to march on Gothiel. I will assist and would like to ask the help of the faithful to join me in aiding a ritual strike upon these horrid creatures that continue to destroy the lives and homes of many that inhabit the Greenwood. 'Prioress Mattie, While things are moving rapidly around Gothiel we are believe that teh city could do with assistance in dealing with the Pine Warrior threat. It appears no matter how many of them your church kills they just keep growing. As such if willing we would like to provide you with a ritual that can be used to strike a large number of them in good order. This will hopefully desolate their numbers and significantly weaken their forces, or even wipe them out. We can provide most of the ritual components, though two are slightly more tricky and need to be fresh. Liekwise we can provid einformaiton on their ritual wardings, so these can be removed before begin. If you can assist, and perhaps obtain others to do so, we will pass more information onto you. I should warn that the ritual needs to be performed qand unleashed as close to the enemy as possible so your normal 8-10 mercenaries may not suffice in holding off the forces, I'd suggest a minimum of 15-18 would be needed, although obviously more powerful individuals would reduce this. Yours Gregor Burnsmore Department of mercenry Affairs' 'Mattie, The ritual is simple to perform it requires six specifically enchanted candles, which we can provide, and two further components. The other components are the an eternal flame. These are left when powerful salamanders die, and need to be trapped within moments of their death. We have a bottle that can trap the flame. Despite their name they will burn out within a day of their capture. The eternal part refers to the fact that the salamander will return to life when slain unless trapped. The second is the Ashes of Vorthan. Vorthan is a specific type of ruby that has been drawn from the ground on a holy day to the red mana dragon. They are rare, but not impossible to acquire. The ashes retain power for a short time after they are created, perhaps a day at most. We would suggest removing the Pine warriors ritual wardings before you obtain the objects, since replacing the wardings will take over a day. Then obtain the objects and strike. We will provide a full copy of the ritual shortly, but it is relatively simple involving forming a shape with the ash while chanting a passage, placing and lighting the candles while saying some words, and then releasing the flame as you direct it against the pine warriors. Gregor' I believe that there may be a gathering of the faithful and some like minded people to fight against the Black Lead during Octuar as the end of the Harvest draws to a close. I believe that this may be the perfect time and opportunity to enact this rite. I will ensure that I am available then and I hope that some of you will be able to join me and we can overcome these Pine Warriors once and for all. Mattie. |

Friends,
Sorry to intrude but does anyone else read the papers? Remember the large black smith from the Village of Morbank - Gauwyn? He's been found dead, he was also an ex mercenary of some stature so seems unlikely an altication with another local led to this. Anyway I find myself really busy with the dawn but wondered if any of you who can scry or such could look into things in Morbank since we left - or maybe stroll down and take a look, it's not far for some of you. I worry we have set something else in motion in the village. Thanks David Stone OOC: Sometimes things are mentioned in the primal times that link to other dungeons later - Morbank Murders. The quiet village of Morbank has been set by murders over the past month. First Brian, then his brother Bernie. With the arrival of the Knights of the land and the church of the Lady of the stars it would hope this would be solved, but Lewis was then killed. Having declared the problem solved with the uncovering of a cult and the slaying of a demon the group left. However two days ago Gauwyn Fogg was found dead in his forge, leaving behind his fiancé Lucy. It seemed he had been packing to head to Mordreds Rest. Is this village safe? This article seemed a bit unresolved when I thought we had finished up! |
